The rain stopped, the skies cleared, the pizza was outstanding, the raffles and auction items were fantastic, and we all had a wonderful time! Thank you, everyone who came out!

Today's the day, and we'll be there, RAIN or SHINE! We'll be making pizzas to your special order, pouring the drinks, spinning the tunes, and having a lot of laughs! Bring yourself, your friends, your family - we're looking forward to seeing you, and showing you all the great items that we have in the auction, the raffles, and the "flower garden!"

We'll be there Saturday, come and meet one of our adoptable pups!

What a fantastic turnout! We are so grateful for the work and heart and soul that Skin Cat Tatoo and Apothecary put into this fundraiser for the Langlade County Humane Society

It was successful beyond our expectations and before anyone asks we are all hoping to make this a yearly event

Remember the pile of poodles that were surrendered to the Humane Society several years ago? Well Kurt and Kelly are giving the two that they adopted the best life! They were walking on the Springbrook trail yesterday, and these were two very happy pups!

What a day yesterday was. !! Skin Cat Tatoo and Apothecary hosted an incredible fundraiser for us.

They raised over $1400 for us which is so needed to help the county's homeless animals.

44 of you incredible folks signed up to get some of the cutest tattoos I have seen.

Local businesses provided some awesome raffles and there was plenty of good food to be had .

Our incredible volunteers Alice and Loretta brought some of our adoptable kittens along. I heard they really slept well last night.

I am Truly blown away by how well things went. There was a line from before opening and folks were still waiting 8 hours later. The kids were incredibly well behaved. A great big thank you to all .

I'm going to be doing lots more posting and thank you notes in next couple of days but I want to quickly acknowledge Amy and her crew and the wonderful people who support us.

I'm sure everyone was exhausted yesterday but it was so worthwhile.

Keep following for lots more pictures and acknowledgments.

Our Story

We are a no-kill facility, a safe place for abandoned, neglected and abused animals; a temporary home for the homeless; a haven for animals needing healing and care. We also find loving homes for adoptable homeless animals; house strays and reunite them with their families; supply Dog Licensing Services; and educate our Community on the importance of spaying and neutering and humane treatment of all living things. Though Langlade County is part of our name, we are not a county department or agency. We are a privately-funded volunteer-operated not-for-profit animal rescue shelter. As a charitable organization under Section 501(c)3 of the tax code. we rely upon your donations, not your tax dollars, to pay our operational expenses.

In the unfortunate event that an animal arrives at the Shelter so severely sick or injured that our veterinarian, shelter manager and board president agree it would be the humane thing to do, the animal is painlessly euthanized by our veterinarian. This happens to less than 1.5% or the animals we rescue.

We are normally open from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. BUT as part of our response to the COVID-19 virus, we are now closed to the public. To meet and greet one of our dogs or cats, to surrender your animal, to turn in a stray you have found or any other business, you MUST call 715-627-4333 to make an appointment! If your cat or dog is missing, please call our shelter and someone will contact you as soon as possible. Note that our staff has been greatly reduced due to funding shortages.
