Someone said it's Giving Tuesday tomorrow?! No matter the size of your donation to our spay/neuter program, you are helping to control pet overpopulation in our area and helping to make our area a better place for companion animals.

Donations to our spay/neuter program allow us to continue to offer low-cost spay/neuter options to folks in and around Blair and Huntingdon Counties. Special programs like It's Not My Cat for stray and feral cats and the Fix-A-Bull Program for pit bulls (who account for 25% or more of the population in our shelters) can only continue when we have funds to do so. We love hearing from families whose pets have utilized our spay/neuter program. Recently, one family took the time to send a note after using our It's Not My Cat promotion to get 3 cats altered:

"Thank you for what you do and for organizing this program...and please thank the [donor], if possible. I wouldn't be able to do this otherwise."

116 stray/feral cats have been spayed/neutered in our area thanks to their 36 individual caretakers and the donation of a generous supporter who has made this promotion possible. Great job to everyone who is controlling cat overpopulation and helping outdoor cats live healthier lives! Together, we can make a positive difference for companion animals.

It's the season for giving thanks and for helping others.

With that in mind, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the wonderful veterinary clinics that we partner with. The Allegheny Spay/Neuter Clinic and All Pets Veterinary Wellness Clinic provide a much-needed service to our area and beyond. And by partnering with them, Happy Paws Happy Homes is able to connect a lot of pets and their people with these services for as low-cost as possible. We are also incredibly grateful for our small-but-mighty group of volunteers and supporters who help to make our transport day and voucher programs possible. To all of the pet parents and caregivers out there who are using our programs, thank you for promoting the health and well-being of your pets.

Now two pleas: we are still looking for at least one new volunteer who can help us with our transport days, specifically in Tyrone. This is a 30-minute commitment a month. If you would be interested in learning more, send us a PM. We are also in need of donations to help our programs continue to offer low-cost spay/neuter options. We have VERY limited funds available for It's Not My Cat at this time. Once the funds are spent, we will be closing inquiries for this promotion. If you previously inquired about funds and your timeframe for taking advantage of the promotion has passed, you will need to re-inquire about fund availability.

To date our program has helped 116 local stray cats get spayed/neutered with the help of 36 individual caretakers!

Happy Paws Happy Homes' spay/neuter program has been helping dogs and cats in and around Huntingdon and Blair Counties (PA) get spayed/neutered for the last 15+ years.

Less money spent on spay/neuter means more money for other pet needs, a better quality of life for our pets and less pet homelessness and neglect in our area.

We offer:
- transport days for pets (between Huntingdon, Tyrone and the Allegheny Spay/Neuter Clinic in Woodland)
- money-saving vouchers useable at partnering clinics in Centre and Clearfield Counties
- the Fix-A-Bull Program (for qualified pit bulls)
- "It's Not My Cat" (for stray/feral cats)
- financial assistance for dogs

If you have been thinking about reducing the cat population on your property, there are still funds available for our "It's Not My Cat" promotion. They're not our cats, either, but 2 can become 20 very quickly. So if you are feeding them and providing shelter, do the right thing and get them spayed/neutered, too, to prevent needless suffering and overpopulation.

Anyone who can access the clinics that we partner with in Centre and Clearfield Counties can use this program.

There is mandatory ear tipping with this program.
