👀 Look who got his stitches out this week! It's Cinnamon! 🎉 This sweet boy is recovering really well from his amputation surgery. He's still healing, but he's getting around very well. He's the same happy-go-lucky goofball but now there's no worry about him injuring his leg. ❤ How about that smile? Thank you to everyone who's supported this guy!

🌴 Rupert's staying at his favorite AirBNB while his foster mama is out of town, and he gave the included, scenic lake tour an 8/10. He said it would have been a 10/10, but the guide kept stopping to do something with her phone. 🙄
Overall, he's happy with his experience so far but is disappointed that BNB doesn't stand for Bacon 'N Biscuits like he thought. 🥓😑

🌼🐾 SWEET DAISY 🐾🌼
Daisy got to go to the vet on Thursday, and she did great, even though she was a little scared.
For the most part, she's a really healthy little girl. She had her little nails trimmed, and she has an ear infection that they are taking care of. She still needs to be spayed and microchipped, and we are accepting adoption applications for pre-approval. 🥰
Daisy's foster says her tail never stops wagging, and she's quite the little cuddlebug. She gives everyone sweet, little, gentle kisses. She figured out the doggie door, and the second she had it mastered, she went in/out about 20 times. 😂 She loves squeaky toys and turns into a professional wrestler when it's time to put drops in her ears. She doesn't growl or bite, but she definitely does her best to make it more fun (or challenging...whatever). 😎

Koda is so happy to have a couch and companionship. His favorite place to be is next to you on the couch with his head in your lap. 😍 Isn't that the sweetest? He's just the sweetest dog. He's getting lots of rest and enjoying the quiet in his foster home.

🙌🚗 FREEDOM RIDE! 🚗🙌
What's better than getting bailed out of the shelter? Getting stuffies for your freedom ride! ❣
Please join us in welcoming "Calypso" to the I Am Dog Rescue family!
This sturdy little low-rider is just about a year old and still a baby. She was adopted from the Fort Worth shelter just before Thanksgiving. She ended up at another shelter because the family said she had a skin issue. She hasn't had any issues at the shelter, but she was adopted and returned twice, making things more urgent for her. 😢
The last time she was returned, it was because she was left all by herself in the yard. This girl is the biggest social butterfly, and she'd apparently decided she'd had enough alone time. She dug out of the fence to go look for some friends to hang out with. 🥹 So, back to the shelter she went.
But, her wish for some friends came true, because one of our incredible foster families saw her little face and wanted to help her on her way to finding a family who won't just leave her in the yard by herself. She has 3 furry foster siblings (including an IADR alum) that she's already terrorizing with her unstoppable joy. 😁

😕🤲 WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR KODA 🤲😕

This sweet boy went to visit the vet today, and we got good news and not great news. 😊😢
Koda is heartworm negative (yay!), which is ALWAYS good news! 👏
But, that little hurt toe is going to have to be amputated and sent off for testing. ❤️‍🩹
He also has a broken tooth that needs to be extracted. 🦷
We are going to take him in next week for a dental, tooth extraction, and toe amputation. The estimated cost is going to be about $1100. We had a generous donation for Koda's initial vet visit, but it covered a little over half of the cost of his visit (we needed to do bloodwork to ensure he is healthy enough for anesthesia and surgery).
💲 We are asking for your help to raise $1300 to cover his surgery and part of today's appointment.

Koda is doing wonderfully with his foster family, and one of his furry foster sisters, Hazel, is keeping a very close eye on him. His first night, he was a little restless, and she was up and checking on him every time. Some of you might remember that Hazel joined the I Am Dog Rescue family last year when she was in boarding with her brother, Hank and was going to be euthanized because the family could no longer care for them. Hazel is such a joy for her family, and she's apparently appointed herself as Koda's nurse and emotional support friend. Watch for pictures to come! 🥰 We'll also be posting a wish list for Koda's recovery.

👏😍 ADOPTED! 😍👏
Our sweetest lovebug, Finn, has found his most perfect home! Bear with us, because we just have to share some really cute info about this boy and his new sister.
Finn's new dad has an adorable Basset Hound named "Baby Girl". He brought her to Bottlecap Alley one weekend when we were having a meet-and-greet event with no intentions of adopting a boy pup. But, he was so impressed by Finn's demeanor (he was so calm and sweet) and the two dogs were instant friends. 💞 He asked for more info before he left and put in his adoption application shortly after.
He and Baby Girl had another meet-and-greet with Finn to make sure he was the right dog for them, and the two dogs played and had a blast. The adoption process moved forward but the foster was traveling and his new dad was traveling. 🐶
Finn went to meet our friends at Canine Cowboy to see if he would be a good fit for boarding with them. During his evaluation, Finn was very shy and nervous. However, the team there noticed he immediately went over to a Basset Hound and acted like she was his long-lost best friend. He was so happy to see her, and...you guessed it...it was Baby Girl! ❣ She was hanging out at Canine Cowboy!
Fast forward - it was time for Finn to go home. When his dad got him home, Finn was so anxious with the change, he was too afraid to get out of the truck. But, his dad just left the door open (safely in the closed garage) and let Finn decide when he was comfortable enough to come join his new family. It didn't take long before he wanted to be with Baby Girl and was playing hard with her. It's been all snuggles and love and tons of playtime ever since. 🤗
We love EVERYTHING about Finn's new life. He hit the jackpot and is living the dream.
This baby was surrendered to the shelter because he had mange. He got the care he needed, but no one came forward to adopt him. He ran out of time, and we are so thankful for his foster family for committing to Finn so he could get this second chance. 💖

🥳👏 FREEDOM RIDE FOR KODA! 👏🥳
Look who got to waltz on out of the shelter and head to his new life today! Koda is a little bigger than his pictures, so he didn't fit in the crate we had for him. It didn't matter though. He was so good and such a sweet boy. He took treats gently and arrived to his foster home without any issues. ❤️
We love the picture of one of the shelter's team members saying goodbye. We told you he was a favorite. 🥹
He'll be headed to see our pals at Mazie's Mission very soon to address an issue he has with one of his toes. You can see it in a couple of the pictures.
He's exhausted but getting settled this evening with his foster family (an IADR alum family - they adopted Hazel last year). He's in great hands, and we just know he'll get lots of sleep tonight! 💤

🖤🤍❣ ONE OF OUR AMAZING FOSTER FAMILIES STEPPED UP FOR KODA!

🚨🆘❗️ OUT OF TIME - ANY HUSKY FANS? ❗️🆘🚨
🚨 He needs a commitment TODAY. 🚨
This good boy is out of time and is only in this predicament because his family went through a divorce. He was the husband's dog, and the owner is not responding to the shelter.
He's about 8 years old and doesn't have that "exuberance" you see in most huskies. ☺
He's great with other dogs and can sing like an angel (or something like that). He's well-behaved and super sweet. 🥹 The shelter staff loves him.
This boy has an injury to one of his toes that isn't improving in his kennel and needs a home environment for treatment. 🤕

😊 Happy face in his happy place! Duke loves being outside with his family. He will play hard and chill hard, but he LOVES just laying in the cool grass and hanging out. 😎 We love this sweetheart so much, and there's nothing better than seeing that smile on his big ol' face. ❤
