✨️INCOMING: Small Animal At-Home Services✨️

Do you ever struggle to bring your furry friends into the vet office? Do they get overly worked up at the sight of their pet carrier then run and hide? Do you get tangled up trying to make it to the car?! If this sounds like your pet, then we have a new opportunity for you!

Starting Monday, September 14th, Dr. Ward will be offering veterinary care in your own home. This will include:
✅️Wellness examinations
✅️Vaccines
✅️Routine services (i.e. recheck blooddraw)
✅️Basic ailments (i.e. ear infections, skin infections, etc.)

💛This is a new service that Dr. Ward is only offering on Monday mornings at this time to gauge interest and need in the community.

🤔 How do I set up an at-home appointment with Dr. Ward? Give our Sweetwater office a call at (423) 337-7432 and let our team know that you are interested in a house call with Dr. Ward. We will work with you to set up a Monday appointment. Given the nature of these house calls, we will request that you keep yourself and your pet or pets available between 8 AM and 12 PM. The Friday or Saturday before your Monday appointment Dr. Ward or her veterinary assistant will call you to collect information about what is going on with your pet and confirm your address. This will help us know what tools or equipment we may need to bring with us. Once we know who all we will be visiting that morning, we will plan our route and call you with an estimated time of arrival.

🧐What’s the cost? The cost for our team’s time and travel to your house (within 20 miles) will be $130 plus the office visit, annual, or other services your pet is needing. If you live more than 20 miles away from our Sweetwater office, there is an additional $2.25 per mile charge. If you have any friends or neighbors who also have pets that need to be seen, plan your appointment mornings together and you can split the $130 call charge!

💛Community means helping one another.💛

Our surgery team saw a need and created a thorough, safe plan to accomplish a goal.

Today Dr. Beason, Dr. Brandi, Dr. Murphy and our surgical team volunteered their time to do a mass surgery day for our local animal shelter to try to help prepare these pets for their forever homes. Thanks to them, our local shelter, and our amazing support staff 21 cats are one step closer to being adopted.

✨️Special thanks to:✨️
C**t from the shelter for volunteering to help us on your day off!
Dawn and Dr. Beason for keeping us fed and covering positions for us!
Ellyn and McKenzie for coordinating!
😻And Margo for comforting the patients😻

🩷Dr. Ward was getting love from the sweetest little guy after his second enucleation surgery. This little one deserves a very special home.

Nudge will be just fine, just have some special needs. Unfortunately, sometimes these conditions occur from viral infections transferred from sick cat/kitten and cause irreversible damage to the eyes. Nudge was a stray and given the overwhelming stray cat/kitten issue, it comes at no surprise, but he has been given the best care and its not slowing him down!

✅️One way to help alleviate the potential of this happening is by spaying and neutering your pets!

✅️The next step is ensuring they are vaccinated to help protect them from viral diseases.

Schedule an appointment with one of our sweet doctors to make sure your pets are beijg protected!
