Meet Buster 🐾
Buster is a 3-year-old French/English Bulldog mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He’s goofy, clumsy, lovable, and keeps his family laughing every single day with his silly antics.
Buster can be anxious at times and gets very excited when people come home. He’ll hop around with toys when he wants to play, and his favorite “toy” is actually empty water bottles. He loves attention and is extremely food motivated — especially at dinner time. Breakfast is negotiable unless treats are involved.
He is crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps through the night (while snoring loudly). He can be left home alone while the family is away and does well. He currently lives with 3 cats and completely ignores them. He also does well with dogs he knows in the home, though he can be more vocal or dominant with unfamiliar dogs at first.
Because of his excitement level and some mobility concerns, Buster would do best in a home with older children. He’s wonderful with kids but can accidentally knock smaller children over when excited. He also needs a home with very few stairs, as he sometimes slips or falls when moving too fast and may need assistance on steps. Morning stretching helps him loosen up and move more comfortably.
Buster is around 50 lbs and eats Fromm food from Pet Supplies Plus. His food is usually mixed with a little water to make eating easier. He tolerates car rides but can get somewhat anxious. Baths are okay as long as they’re approached calmly and slowly.
He knows “sit” and “lay down” when he feels cooperative, and he absolutely loves attacking vacuums, shop vacs, and brooms like they are his mortal enemies.
Buster is being rehomed only because ongoing back problems have made it physically too difficult for his family to safely care for him the way he deserves. This is an incredibly hard decision, and the goal is to find him a loving, patient home that understands his quirks and will love him for exactly who he is.
A few important notes:
• Buster is not neutered.
• He is not currently up to date on shots.
• Limited vet records/paperwork are available.
• He may occasionally have accidents if overstimulated or anxious.
• Care should be taken when he gets overly excited because he can slip or fall if he jumps around or moves too quickly.
• Care should also be taken when letting him out of his crate so he doesn’t get his paw stuck due to the excitement of people returning home.
His family would love occasional updates or social media access after adoption if the future adopters are comfortable with that.
Buster truly is one of a kind — a quirky, loving, hilarious dog who deserves a safe and understanding forever home.
