Clear Creek Cat Rescue Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a 501c3 non profit dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming stray, injured, homeless and feral cats.

We rescue and rehome cats primarily in Southcentral Alaska from Houston to Homer. CCCR rescues 500 - 700 cats a year.

Penny has lived her whole life with people, except for that time when she was lost or abandoned and ended up in the middle of winter trying to fend for herself. Whatever happened there that caused her to be homeless, she is not holding that against anyone. Her heart may have been broken, but Penny is the kindest, most gentle girl who has love to share.

With happy loving people, Penny is the easiest cat ever to fit into a family. She even adores the kind gentle kids and waits for them after school to welcome them home. She loves loves loves her people. Other cats........not so much. She is perfectly fine caring for a family all on her own. She doesn't need another cat interfering in the delicate balance of keeping everyone happy. We are not sure about dogs but a doggo who is as easy going and sweet as she is; that might be just fine.

Penny is about 10 year old. She is experienced and intelligent, she has great house manners, and she would be the perfect cat for those who have a stable loving home. And she has the cutest little poses to show you how happy she is to be loved.

BARN CATS FOR ADOPTION!

There are lots of first rate rodent hunting cats waiting to help you keep your barn and gardens free of voles and mice. You don't have to share your animal feed with the invading critters. You can get yourself a couple furry guards to keep an eye on things. These are not friendly house cats; they are hunters who prefer to live apart from people. A barn, shed, outbuilding or even a warehouse could be an excellent home.

Barn cats are generally adopted out in pairs or in multiples so that they have a companion and are more likely to stay near home and do their jobs.

They are neutered, vaccinated, chipped. There is no adoption fee but a loving caretaker is needed. And donations are much appreciated.

Available in Southcentral, and farther north if you have a heated barn.

Arwen is an angel with the perfect shiny black coat with never hair out of place! She is silent, stealthy, and will appear beside you without ever hearing her, just like a little panther. She has the sweetest meow and a soft purr to go with her gentle loving eyes!

New people can be intimidating so she won’t be the one that comes running to greet you, but given time, patience and love you will soon be rewarded. She is happy to seek you out when she is ready for some one-on-one time and gets some love. We have found that she does not like to be picked up but come bedtime she is all about being super affectionate with body rubs, purrs, and twills of content.

She loves other cats so she must have a kitty friend to pal around with, and she is great with nice gentle dogs that respect her space. At just under a year old she has plenty of energy and so many years to enjoy with an amazing family of her own. The other thing she loves is being outside in the Catio so a nice spacious yard or even property to roam around in will very much be needed to keep this lovely girl happy! In Palmer. We tried it. We thought it might be okay for Phantom to go to a new home without his foster brother Turvy. But then, looking at these 2 boys hanging out together in the foster home, we realized that this is not fair. Not to Phantom and not to Turvy, and it is not what we want to do in rescue. We don't just want a place to send these cats so we don't have to deal with them anymore; but a place where we feel sure that they will have a happy life. And it doesn't feel like that is what would happen if Phantom and Turvy are separated.

These boys LOVE each other. They are truly bonded. They play together. They groom each other. And when it's time to sleep, if they are not already together they will walk around the house calling until they find the other one so they can be together. It's a beautiful thing.

So here they are, Phantom and Turvy, both around a year old, both handsome young fellows who will be the perfect couple. They get along with other nice cats and mellow dogs. They will not be at their best in a house of chaos so a home with less noise and activity would be best. They now live with older kids and do just fine as long as they have places to escape and hang out together until things calm down. Both of them would love a yard where they could go outside and enjoy the times when the sun is warm and the grass is soft. They would be so happy to share those lovely summer days with their family.

If 2 seems a lot, consider how much better it would be to know that your cat at home is not lonely or sad, but is perfectly happy while you are at work or out to dinner.

Jade is a slim, sleek tabby girl about 10 months old. She is quiet and gentle, the observer of all things. Underneath her pretty quiet exterior, Jade might be the keeper of family secrets.

Jade does great with all the cats and dogs in the house; she has the temperament to quietly and lovingly fit into a family that is happy and loving. She is super mellow, although she does get revved up with it's time to play. And when the family is going outside to enjoy a day in the yard, she is thrilled to go along and continue her role as observer.

Jade is a no fuss kind of kitty who appreciates a warm lap to lay on, a cat friend to play with, and a home full of love and kindness. The purrfect fit for a kind loving family.

If you are interested in cats that are purrfect from the first moment, adopt Missy and Lunar, sister and brother. They are absolutely great cats!

Both of them are super sweet, immediately friendly and loving, and so happy for you to love on them. Lunar, a handsome black boy, is super duper affectionate. If he is not getting enough attention, he might jump on your shoulder and help you remember that he is there and he would like some cuddles. Missy is ready to purr at a touch and if you have time to sit down and make a lap for her to cozy up on, then it's her dream come true.

They are about 6 years old and there is not a single discouraging thing that we know to say about either of them. They are beautiful, sweet, loving cats. They have been fine around other cats but they do not tolerate dogs at all.

A yard where they can hang out with their people in summer would be perfect.

KITTENS!!!

All 3 to 3 1/2 months old. Fixed, vaccinated, chipped. Trained to be well-behaved cats........well, that part may not be totally true. BUT they are all adorable, playful, friendly little tykes who will cause trouble in only the cutest ways.

They will need another friendly feline in the house unless you adopt two. And safe outside access is required; who doesn't want to play in the yard on the sunny summer days!

Bright-eyed ginger boy, Peter is a sweet guy about 3 years old. He has a short haired orange coat and big paws!

Peter is a easy going guy who will be an excellent family member for a happy family. He loves people and will be your little shadow no matter the task. He loves to give head butts and kisses. He adores people and loves to be pet. is favorite pastimes are, playing, and finding the highest perches in the house to nap.

He has lived with other cats before and he does great with cats who like him. We don't know about dogs. He will need an outside area where he can run around and play with his friends.

Calling all black cat lovers! Introducing Milo, Milo the motor! Once in foster care he showed us how he could personally power the city of Soldotna with his PURR!

This handsome fella was trapped off of K-Beach after enduring winter months visiting houses for food, water and shelter. A nice family worked on gaining his trust, while providing the much-needed care from a distance. Once a routine was set they called us for a trap. Less than 24 hours later we welcomed Milo to rescue.

He is quite the sweetheart, follows his foster momma all over the house. He is still thinking he needs to “get low” and slink around when the bustle of the house gets a bit loud or the 3 big doggos create a race track in the house. He is unphased by other cats and their needs…his eyes are 100% on his foster hoomans and loving on them. He came to us fixed & chipped and we went ahead and vaccinated him (rabies included), and gave mite/worm treatment. A kitty friend in his new home would be nice, safe access to the outdoors, and the ability to chase rays of sunshine.

Beautiful blue-eyed lilac-point Siamese girl, Bosha is a sweetheart. She's about a year and a half old. She is sweet and loving. Not at all a scaredy cat but she is all about knowing her own mind. Not a toy to be picked up and handled at someone else's will. She loves to be pet and cuddled but in her slightly aloof Siamese fashion, she will come to you and let you know when it's time.
Bosha has been good with dogs and boy cats in her former home. She seemed to have issues with the girl cats so maybe a boy would be a better companion. She is curious, intelligent, a little chatty. She will need a safe yard where she can go outside and use her phenomenal feline senses of scent and sound to explore the natural world around her. She would be a great yard buddy.

Amaryllis is a silky soft, sweet tempered little girl who loves playing with her foster brother and sister. She's well behaved, only scratching on her scratch post, and she is good about following the rules of the house. She enjoys birdwatching, couch time and morning pets before breakfast. She's a little shy at first but once she gets to know you she’s a love bug. When she first came into rescue, she was uncertain about humans. But she did the normal cat thing--hid out and did surveillance for a while. Now she runs around the house like she owns the place and allows humans to pet her when she feels like it.

Patience is the key to her heart and treats! Give her cooked salmon and she'll be your friend for life. ❤

She adores other cats and must have a kitty friend in her new home. She does fine around mellow cat friendly dogs. She enjoys playing with toys, her cat friends in her foster home, laying in the sun and bird watching. She is around 1 year old and will need a safe yard to enjoy summer days with her family once she is settled in her new home.
