🐾 Wag Wednesday Spotlight: A Morning with Pirata 🐾
A Friday morning off work was spent with dear Pirata who was recently returned to the kennel from foster due to no fault of his own, and needed some TLC.
Poor Pirata hasn’t had an easy life in his short year on this planet. The result of a backyard breeder, Pirata and his brother Fang (also for adoption) found themselves here at Eleventh Hour when they were 8 months old and have just been constantly overlooked.
Pirata is a patient baby, making sure to sit and wait as I slipped the lead over his head even though he hadn’t been out yet all morning, excitedly but carefully walking past the barking dogs down the kennel row.
We started out walking with a nice walk - walking him is a dream. No pulling or tugging, then ended up in the agility play yard for a little photo session and agility fun where he took the tunnel fearlessly and even approached the sea saw without hesitation. A real pro.
After a quick dip in the pool, we headed to the decompression room to relax. He played with his toys, cuddled up with me and ended up snoozing on the floor after letting out an impressive toot💨😅. He loves his chewy toys though and has gone through about three. Barbox super chewer anyone?
Will someone give this boy a shot? He is looking for a foster or adopter! Crate trained, housebroken, and a decent houseguest minus the flatulence.
His ideal home is a one with no other pets and no small children, as for right now, he likes to be an only child. He is extremely smart, so mental stimulation is key for this boy to stay happy and healthy. That’s why Chewy made snuffle mats and puzzle boards! Unfortunately the kennel is no place for a dog like this, and we are slowly watching him deteriorate. Please help us stop his suffering.
