what a swell thought❣️
Pima Animal Care Center has many fabulous kitties of all ages to love. Foster - Foster to Adopt and Adopt. Kittens?
We always recommend adopting kittens from a Foster care volunteer’s home.

$100,000 dollars goes a
long way to help reduce future shelter census numbers.
Spay and Neuter: affordable accessible, and clinics weekly.
Friends of Pima Animal Care Center leadership & board decided to pay 💰 a six figure fee to to help jump start former PACC director - Kristen Hassen’s consulting business by diverting PACC community donated funds via
Monica Dangler’s misguided leadership power while she was a Director of PACC.
Friends & PACC refuses to disclose the proposal, contract and total fees.
Why? A good question.
Friends of PACC is a contracted to Pima County nonprofit organization self managing millions meant for Pima Animal Care Center - oversight & transparency is needed.
Dr. Matt Heinz, Pima County Supervisor, District 2
Supervisor Jennifer Allen
Supervisor Rex Scott
And others have a responsibility to make Friends choose wisely.
The Friends Clinic former Friends Community Clinic has dropped the word community and it fits, a private enterprise faking doing good.

Thanks to an anonymous $100,000 donation, Animal Samaritans is offering no-cost spay and neuter services to qualifying pet families one city at a time.

“How amazing is this Community? Shouts PACC social media after scores of volunteer book readers show on Fourth of July 🇺🇸 to help calm pups at the shelter❣️
AI Overview and a message for those who blame and speak badly of our community and it's people for issues at
Pima Animal Care Center
PACC wants the same people to adopt more pets, Foster, volunteer, and support PACC.
Under-minding Pima County community trust in PACC.
SteveK:
"Dealing with the hand the COMMUNITY has dealt US"
Decide leadership - friend or foe? Is it them, and US?
"Instead of solely blaming the public for poor pet welfare, a broader perspective reveals systemic and societal factors that contribute to challenges faced by both pet owners and animal welfare organizations.
Key factors to consider include:
Economic hardship: In 2021 and following the pandemic, fast forward to 2025 many individuals and families struggled financially, leading to difficulties affording pet care, including food, veterinary costs, and even housing that accommodates pets. This pressure can lead to difficult decisions about pet ownership and contribute to animals entering shelters.
Housing insecurity: Restrictive pet policies in rental housing can create significant barriers for pet owners, especially those with limited income, further exacerbating the issue of pet relinquishment to shelters.
Resource limitations: Animal shelters and rescue organizations often face challenges with overcrowding and insufficient resources to care for the large number of animals entering their facilities. This can lead to tough decisions about euthanasia or turning animals away.
Lack of access to essential services: Limited access to affordable veterinary care, including spay and neuter services, can contribute to overpopulation and challenges for pet owners.
Information and educational gaps: While well-intentioned, some pet owners may lack adequate knowledge about responsible pet care practices, training, and available resources.
Focus on "No Kill" statistics: Pressure on shelters to achieve "No Kill" targets can sometimes overshadow the critical need to address the underlying causes of animal suffering and inadequate resources.
Large .org grants groups have largely Decreased focus on
Spay and Neuter services. The topic does not draw in millions to them like other emotional topics do. Paradox!
Fragmented oversight: In some cases, the oversight of animal rescues and welfare can be fragmented and based on weak laws, limiting effective enforcement of animal protection measures.
Instead of blaming, the focus should shift to solutions:
Providing accessible and affordable pet care: This includes supporting low-cost or free spay/neuter programs, providing financial assistance for veterinary care, and promoting affordable pet food resources.
Advocating for pet-inclusive housing: Efforts to reduce or eliminate restrictive pet policies in rental housing can help keep pets in homes.
Supporting animal welfare organizations:
Donating, volunteering, and fostering can help shelters and rescues continue your communities vital work.
Promoting responsible pet ownership: Educational initiatives can equip individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to provide proper care for their pets.
Developing comprehensive and enforceable animal welfare laws: This can include addressing issues such as illegal breeding, animal cruelty, and strengthening oversight of
animal rescues.
Collaboration and a "whole-of-government approach": Addressing pet welfare effectively requires cooperation between various stakeholders, including government agencies, animal welfare organizations, and the public.
By focusing on these broader systemic issues and promoting collaborative solutions, society can make greater progress in ensuring the well-being of companion animals.

Nancy Kate Grayson, I do feel SteveK is adopting the same negative perspective of and depending on some PACC leadership and staff for guidance.
Steve can do better, I am very disappointed in his recent media interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HD7-dV4xjmk&t=2s

The PACC Advisory Committee group is and has been lethargic for years, in not communicating in a helpful capacity for PACC with Pima County leadership.

Friends of PACC Pet Clinic is not low cost. 💲even with low income verification
$120.00 - $250.00 S/N
Same with vaccines most all require a wellness check fee in addition.
We’ve found better options, please shop around.
Hopefully Friends of PACC,
an independent non-profit contracted yearly to Pima County that controls Pima County PACC donations will lower costs considerably.
Think secretive non- disclosed Parade proceeds might help lower costs?
Millions are gifted by our community each year:
44% by individual donors
Friends paid a million cash for the building with donated funds.
Karen’s Van?
Bequest start, and
just 4% allotted in 2024.
Accountability matters,
Friends of Pima Animal Care Center.
This public inquiry 🧐 post makes me laugh, of course there are large dog pet owners interested in spay/neuter services. Another useless PACC survey.
Action! is needed.

My comment on Chorus Nylander KVOA report shared
as Nancy Kate Grayson.
with Pima County Administrator
Jan Lesher & Supervisors allowed these two former PACC directors complete unchecked control to use PACC as a spring board to an extremely controversial consulting partnership.
At PACC: Misuse of data, hiding 800 additional PACC owned pets in Foster homes to claim "live outcomes", truly the unethical behavior of these partners is outstanding.
Pima County admin has helped cover up the dishonesty.
Blaming our community is wrong, I will disagree with Steve Kozachik on this point.
Steve has inherited a very difficult situation and iI feel is far too trusting of trained PACC leadership & some PACC staff. KVOA I suggest speaking with dedicated Volunteers that Monica Dangler and her team fired in retaliation of speaking up.
Providing accessible and affordable spay and neuter at is a wise strategy. When clinics are available pet owners attend in droves for S/N and vaccines.
Chorus Nylander KVOA - I am Rodeo Kittens & Pups Fostered in Tucson Arizona happy to explain further how the past directors deceived and exploited Pima County and have and continue to hurt Pima Animal Care Center pets and people.
Friends of Pima Animal Care Center actually hired and paid Hassen at Dangler's demand for an unneeded report.
Misuse of Pima County PACC donations, for career boast. Six figures wasted that could have helped fund the unfunded PACC Foster Programs and supported Spay & Neuter - Vaccine access.
