Meet my new family Mike and Jill. My journey from foster home to new home has been quite an adventure, especially with my first plane ride to get me to Aurora, CO. I started in LaPorte and traveled to Spring, then San Antonio so I could catch my ride on the plane! My new parents’ love and understanding towards my special needs show how much they care. You see I'm going blind and while I still have some sight I'm exploring my new home and learning where everything is located. At SRT it really was All About Me! Hugs - Morgana

Fosters still needed!

Meet Moe Howard (black and white, 7 months, vetted but neuter scheduled for Wednesday at Canfel Animal Care), Larry Fine (white age TBD but young, fully vetted today), and Curly Howard (mostly black, 1 year, vetted with neuter scheduled for Wednesday at Canfel Animal care), a handsome trio of male pups who were shamefully abandoned and neglected by their previous owners in Houston.

These poor boys were found wandering the streets, severely matted, hungry, and without water. Thankfully, a compassionate family stepped up to give them shelter, and Pretty Pooches Mobile Grooming worked their magic with some much-needed haircuts.

So far, we know:

-They’re friendly and playful
-They enjoy human interaction
-They were calm for baths and grooming (total gentlemen!)

Foster or Foster to Adopt Needed San Antonio

Meet Zeke, an 8 year old mini schnauzer who is 10-15 lbs. Unfortunately his owners are moving out of the country and are not able to bring him along. Fortunately though Zeke is a wonderful boy, who is house, crate and leash trained, playful and friendly and will be an easy addition to a new home.

Foster help needed

These two 5 year old pups are in the San Antonio area and the family is moving soon and can't take them due to financial issues. The black and white one is a male and the salt & pepper is a female. They are house, crate and leash trained and good with children. The female is fearful of other dogs but good with cats and good being groomed. She is a typical schnauzer and is vocal, so no apartment living for her. The male is skittish around other pups and cats, but good with children and at the vet and groomer. SRT will get their vaccines updated, "fixed" and treat for any conditions. In the meantime, they need a foster. Foster Help needed

These boys are being surrendered by their family as they no longer have time to take care of them or the resources to take them to the vet and get their shots and prevention. The black one is 8 years old crate, leash, house trained and good with children and other dogs. No idea on cats. The salt and pepper is 4 years old and also crate, leash house trained and good with children. He was attacked by a larger dog and so is fearful of large dogs. Both boys are currently in Hockley and owner said they do NOT have to be adopted together. Foster help needed

Update - the puppy has found a foster.

These girls are currently in Sugarland. Their owner surrendered because of no funds to care for them and no time either. They are at our vet and have been given flea prevention to eliminate the hundreds of fleas on them. They will be spayed and get all of their vaccines. The 1st one is a puppy at 10 months and the other is the mom at 2 1/2 years. Friendly girls who need your help. This sweet young girl is in need of a foster home as her owner passed away and no one in the family is able to take her in. Lesson to all--make plans if something should happen to you so that your pet isn't left without a home. She's in Dayton right now. Approved fosters if you can help, contact [email protected] She's spayed, house, crate, leash trained and does great with kids and dogs. No idea about cats. Very playful and sweet. Foster found

This 7 year old boy is in Katy and his family sadly have to surrender him due to financial issues. He needs a foster ASAP. The rescue will get all his vetting done, including a neuter & dental if needed and treat for any other conditions. He is good with children, house and leash trained and a friendly guy.
