Meet Blossom 🌸

Blossom is the definition of a lap cat—soft, sweet, and happiest when she’s pressed right up against her person. If you’ve ever dreamed of a kitty who wants to be held all the time, Blossom is your girl. Her personality can be summed up as super cuddly, adorably clingy (in the best way), and endlessly loving.

Blossom’s favorite place to sleep is under the covers next to you, where she can be as close as physically possible. She’s a bit of a talker, especially if you dare try to put her down—she’ll politely (or not-so-politely) let you know she prefers to stay right where she is. When her siblings start wrestling, Blossom has no problem announcing her feelings with dramatic little screams, earning her the title of resident drama queen.

She does wonderfully with other cats and gets along great with her foster’s two adult cats. She has been introduced to a dog and is a little nervous so far, but slow introductions are in progress and she’s learning. Blossom hasn’t been around children yet. Her favorite toy is a multi-level circle cone track with balls, though cuddling will always beat playtime in her book.

Blossom would thrive in a home with someone who wants a constant companion—a kitten who will stay in your lap 24/7, give kisses, and sprinkle in tiny love bites as a sign of affection.

Meet Bubbles 🫧

Bubbles is a perfect mix of silly, sweet, and lightning-fast—a true little speed demon with a soft side. She may not be much of a talker, but she lets her personality shine through her playful antics and affectionate moments.

One look at Bubbles and you’ll see her signature style: black lips and black eyeliner, earning her the nickname “the goth kitty.” When she’s not zooming around the house or batting balls around her favorite multi-level circle cone track toy, she loves to curl up on the bed near her foster and her sisters. And when she’s feeling especially cuddly, she’ll flop right onto her back, proudly showing off her big, irresistible belly.

Bubbles does great with other cats and gets along well with her foster’s two adult cats. She’s been introduced to a dog and is a little unsure for now, but slow introductions are ongoing and helping her build confidence. She hasn’t been around children yet.

Meet Buttercup 🌼

Don’t let the name fool you—Buttercup is a bold, playful little powerhouse with a heart of gold. Described best as playful, brave, and a total wrestler, she’s always ready for her next adventure and absolutely thrives on interaction and play.

Buttercup loves being close to her people and sleeps on the bed near her foster and her sisters. She’s also a talker, chirping sweetly when she’s looking for you, especially if she thinks it’s playtime. One of her most endearing traits is her slightly grumpy-looking face, which makes her antics even funnier—rest assured, it’s all looks and no attitude.

She does wonderfully with other cats and gets along great with her foster’s two adult cats. Buttercup has been introduced to a dog and is a bit unsure right now, but with slow, continued exposure she’s making progress. She hasn’t been around children yet. Her favorite toy is a multi-level circle cone track with balls, though her true passion is wrestling—especially with her favorite sibling, Trinket.

Buttercup would do best in an energetic home with a playful feline companion who can keep up with her enthusiasm. She may be a bit too much for a cat who prefers a quieter lifestyle, but for the right playmate, she’s an absolute blast.

Meet Trinket ✨

Trinket is a sweet little treasure with a heart as big as her personality. Described in three perfect words—sweet, affectionate, and silly—she’s the kind of kitten who makes herself right at home in your heart (and on your bed).

Trinket loves being close to her people and prefers to sleep on the bed near her foster and her sisters. She’s a talker, too—chirping adorably when she’s looking for you, just to make sure you haven’t gone far. One of her cutest quirks is how she falls asleep: belly out, front legs stretched straight forward, completely relaxed and utterly hilarious. And if that wasn’t enough, she also gives the sweetest little nose kisses.

She does great with other cats and gets along wonderfully with her foster’s two adult cats. She’s also been introduced to a dog—she’s a bit nervous for now, but slow introductions are underway and she’s making progress. Trinket hasn’t been around children yet. We are seeking a loving long-term foster home for Roxi, a beautiful senior kitty with renal failure. This would be a fospice placement, meaning Roxi would remain in your care for the rest of her life, until it’s her time to cross the rainbow bridge.

Roxi is currently receiving 100 ml of subcutaneous fluids daily and is eating a prescribed renal diet. All medical supplies, food, and support will be fully provided by the rescue. While she has not yet been seen by our primary veterinarian, the veterinary team she has been working with believes that with proper care, Roxi still has meaningful quality time ahead. She is eating and drinking well, alert, and delightfully spunky.

Roxi is calm, cuddly, and very low-maintenance. She loves having several cozy bed options for her naps and enjoys quiet companionship. She can coexist with a dog that will ignore her—she’s not a fan of canine attention, but does well as long as she has space. We aren’t entirely sure how Roxi would do with other cats, but we believe she may do just fine with proper, slow introductions. A calm, low-stress environment would be ideal for her comfort and well-being.

She is excellent with the litter box (uncovered is best), enjoys occasional gentle play with feather toys, and most of all cherishes snuggle time with her person. Roxi is FIV and FeLV negative.

If you’re able to open your heart and home to a cat who deserves comfort, dignity, and love, Roxi would be incredibly grateful. 💛

✨ Meet Foucault — The Class Valedictorian of Cuddles & Charm

From the moment he arrived in foster care, Foucault has been an absolute teacher’s pet. He’s always first in line for everything — cuddles, meals, toys, and any opportunity to be doted on. You can just picture him in a tiny classroom, front row, paw in the air, eager to participate.

As he’s grown, Foucault has blossomed into a full-on cuddle addict. He loves hopping onto your chest, kneading biscuits with total dedication, and gently pressing his face into yours for kisses. This boy is a stage-five clinger in the best possible way — if you’ve been dreaming of a kitten who wants to be your shadow, your lap warmer, and your constant companion, he’s your guy. 💛

Foucault has excellent litter box habits, has met kids (but not dogs), and would thrive in a home that offers a great balance of playtime, enrichment, and cozy snuggle sessions.

He has been neutered, microchipped, combo tested (FIV/FeLV), vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines, flea treated, and dewormed.

Foucault would love to be adopted with his twin brother, Rousseau — double the tabby stripes, double the love, double the joy. 🐾💛

Rousseau is a charming little independent soul. Unlike his twin brother, Foucault, he’s perfectly happy to curl up on his own and quietly watch the world go by when he’s ready for a break. But don’t mistake his mellow nature for aloofness — this sweet boy loves people. One of his very favorite things is playing right in your lap, a bonding moment that almost always ends with purrs and snuggles.

And those slightly sad eyes? Pure deception — Rousseau is a cheerful, outgoing kitten with a big heart and an even bigger love for fun. He’ll absolutely need a playful companion his own age to keep him happy and fulfilled (and he’d be thrilled if that companion happened to be his brother! 💛).

🌼 We Need Adult Cat Foster Homes 🌼
Most foster homes prefer kittens — and we completely understand why. With resident cats, busy homes, or uncertainty about how an adult might adjust, kittens can feel like the safer option. But the truth is… adult cats need us desperately.

Every day, we’re flooded with dozens of emails, calls, and messages from people needing help for adult cats — often pairs or entire small groups who suddenly have nowhere to go. Then there are the ones who can’t reach out for help: the adult kitties out in the rain, cold, and wind, wandering the streets and wondering where their families went and why they aren’t allowed back inside. The adults who never had a family. These are the cats we want to say “yes” to — but we can’t without more foster homes willing to take in adults.

At Oakbrook Cat Rescue, we are passionate about every cat, no matter the age. Adult cats bring such calm, gentle energy into a home. They’re already past the chaotic baby phase, they’re usually litter-box trained, and they are so deeply grateful to feel safe again. Watching an adult cat blossom — seeing their shoulders finally relax, their purr return, their trust rebuild — it’s the kind of rewarding experience that stays with you.

✨ What fostering an adult looks like:
• A small, safe space to quarantine for a couple of weeks (a spare room, bathroom, or even a large pen setup).
• A willingness to offer love, patience, and a soft place to land during a frightening time in their life.
• That’s truly it. We’ll guide and support you every step of the way.
• And if you fall in love? We gladly support foster-to-adopt situations.

Adult cats are out there right now — cold, confused, abandoned, or waiting in homes where they’re no longer wanted. We want to help them. We can help them. We just need more people willing to open their homes and hearts.
