We said farewell to sweet boy,
Fly high, darling, know you are loved!

Fifteen years ago, I had the privilege of choosing you from a litter of puppies that were on their way from Georgia to a Maryland rescue. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew more than ever you were rescuing me, more so than I could ever rescue you. Throughout the past fifteen years, you have been my rock, providing me with comfort and joy during both the best and worst times of my life.
Your presence has been a constant source of reassurance, and I have grown accustomed to having you by my side, even in the middle of the night when I would get up to use the bathroom, phone in hand, to avoid stepping on you. Your quirky sleeping habits, which often involved sprawling out of your bed, these are memories that I will treasure.
Bubba, I want to thank you for being a constant in my life, and I will miss you dearly. Sleep well, my sweet boy! When you cross that Rainbow Bridge, please tell Uncle Danny how much I miss him too!
