The due date for Penny's litter is May 17-19, 2025!
Puppies will be standard size, likely 45-60 lbs as adults with either chocolate or caramel coats. Puppies will be ready to go to homes in July at 8 weeks old. At the advice of the vet, this will be what is referred to as a dual-sire litter, meaning we used two different boys to increase the chance of a successful pregnancy. We will submit a saliva sample from each puppy to genetically determine paternity. Pictures of Penny and the two potential Dads, Harry (chocolate coat) and Samson (caramel coat).

If you have now or ever had one of our dogs, please follow the instructions to request a survey and help expand the knowledge-base. Thank you!

The Australian Labradoodle Association of America is conducting the first comprehensive health survey for the ALD. This information is vital to help us access the health of our breed and how to protect and improve the breed in the future. We are looking for owners of ALAA registered Australian Labradoodles to take part in our survey. Even if your ALD has passed away, the information about your dog is important to us. Just go to https://alaa-labradoodles.com/contact-us and select "Request Health Survey Link" from the options. Please add your breeder's name in the section for Questions/Comments. We will send you the link in a follow up email. Thank you for helping us help the ALD.

Our Guardian program is a great way to reduce the cost of one of our fantastic family dogs.

The Guardian program is perfect if you:
- want a dog who is a superior example of the breed and see value in the additional testing and health information gained through the breeding process (guardian dogs are chosen by me).
- would love to have a multigenerational labradoodle, know you can afford the regular costs of dog care and don't mind co-ownership during the early years.
- are a life-long learner - You are open to learning a little more about the breeding process and are happy to have your dog participating, but don’t actually want to be a dog breeder yourself.
- would like your dog to have a “second home” – Whenever possible I provide boarding for dogs in our Guardian program while you travel.
- are ready for another dog - You have a Rocky Mountain Labradoodle that you love and are excited to help the legacy continue via an additional dog.

What is involved in being a Guardian?
- Guardians live within a day's drive of Denver (locations in adjoining states are ok!) during the dog's active years. Happy to discuss specific locations - this keeps our 3-4 drives a year to meet up do-able in a day.
- Between now and age two, the dog will go to 2-3 vet appointments with me for genetic, eye and hip/elbow testing. These are at no expense to you.
- Upon successfully passing the testing, usually between the age of age 1.5 and 5:
GIRLS will have 2-5 litters. She will stay with her family during pregnancy and will just be with me for 6-8 weeks until weaning is complete. This is a great time for Guardians to go on vacation and/or come play with puppies!
BOYS will be utilized 2-4 times a year for either in person "dates" or vet assisted artificial insemination.
- Once retired, she/he will be spayed/neutered (at my expense) and retired to live the rest of her/his life with you!

If you are looking for a spunky, cuddly boy to join your family this holiday season, look no further!

Luna’s Gray Collar boy, currently called “Bean”, is 4 months old. He is expected to be 30lbs as an adult, is crate training (yes, he sleeps through the night!) and has been doing well on a leash. He has a soft, curly chocolate coat with a white stripe from his chin down his chest. Bean plays well with other dogs, is respectful of cats, loves a nice soft dog bed and really enjoys the snow.

This is a great reminder for behavior correction. Training your dog is as much about your determination, consistency and timing as it is about the dog’s behavior.
