When it rains it pours. The number of strays in our area is crazy & all of the shelters are full. Yet again today the police picked up a stray & there was no safe place for her to go.
Handcuffs ( we plan to call her Cuffs ) NEEDS A FOSTER!!!
She can’t live in the back of a cruiser & all of our foster homes are full.
So far we know this…. She’s not scared of cops, she likes going for rides in a cruiser…. & she is very sweet!! She seems to be good with dogs!

We have to confess that we made a mistake. When we named Priscilla we thought that was perfect because we call her Prissy & well…. She is kind of prissy. However, as we’ve gotten to know her her true personality has revealed itself & we realize that we should’ve named her Couch Potato. If you can’t find her, she’s on the couch. If you are also on the couch she must be touching you. She doesn’t sit on your lap. She lies against your chest so that her paws are by your face & if you have the nerve to stop petting she pokes you in the chin. It’s adorable. What is less adorable is the dirty look you get when you ask her to get off the couch.
Priscilla loves toys, dogs & treats. She no longer has a tail ( she had terrible happy tail so it had to be docked) & now when she wiggles it’s the cutest thing you’ve ever seen.
She’s around 5 months old & will be fairly petite when she is full grown!

Meet sweet Curly!
This little girl was found abandoned at a local grocery store when she was 2 months old. She is now 7 months old and is thriving! She is potty trained and crate trained, spayed and up-to-date on vaccines!
Curly loves everyone she meets! She is great with all people, including children, loves other dogs and even cats! She is funny and playful and this girl will steal your heart!
Curly is such a sweet, affectionate lovey pup! She loves cuddling up on the couch to watch TV and spending time with her people!
We believe her to be Boxer/staffy mix. She loves meeting new people and dogs and going on adventures! She is great in the car and on walks!
She loves playing with other dogs and even entertaining herself!

It’s April 15th—time to pay up! Not to the IRS, but to the DRS (Doggo Revenue Service). And let’s be clear: they don’t want your W2s… they want your cheddah.

Good morning from Punkin. She has a stick. Just wanted to make sure you saw it.

Punkin is 45lbs and 1yr old. She loves being with her people and having dog friends. Her hobbies include zoomies in the park, sitting on the patio with her foster and hoping for a little snack to fall from the table, snuggling on the couch, and of course, finding the best sticks in the backyard. No one is happier than Pepino that the sun is shining ☀️ But to be honest, there generally is no one happier than Pepino about anything in life! This guy is a happy go lucky, it’s a great day to have a great day, positive attitude type of pup!! He likes to play with other dogs, loves kids, is happy to live with cats, and friendly with everyone he meets. But you know what would make him the absolute happiest he’s ever been? A forever home! The Miami Valley’s Largest Pit Bull Rescue

Adopt a Pit Rescue, Inc. is the largest Pit Bull rescue in the Miami Valley. We save, rehabilitate, & rehome dogs from local kill shelters. Some of our dogs have physical scars from their past, but many more have scars that we cannot see. They all need our help, through no fault of their own.

Founded in 2013 to rescue and rehabilitate Pit Bulls & other "bully breeds", we have since adopted out over 2500 dogs, and currently have around 150 adoptable dogs in over 80 foster homes. The majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters, where they are quite literally on death row. We focus on dogs who are deemed "unadoptable" at the shelters due to injuries, illness, because they are scared, or simply because of their breed. We are a foster home based rescue. We do not have a shelter or kennels. All of our dogs live in foster homes as part of a family until they find their forever home. We supply all of the food, vetting, crates, and other supplies for all of our foster dogs. Our foster homes supply the love. We rely on donations and adoption fees to cover our costs and to be able to continue to save these wonderful dogs! We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donations are tax-deductible.
