Mountain Tails, Crested Butte's only pet boutique, has been serving both the local and tourist community for well over a decade. We are simply crazy about our animals and love to share that passion...right here in the majesty of CB! If you've never been to Crested Butte, you have a real treat in store (no pun intended)! Set among towering peaks, our beautiful (and historic) victorian town is deep

in the heart of the rocky mountains at close to 9000 feet above sea level. With wide open meadows to endless hiking and skiing opportunities in our vast mountain ranges, this is not only a dream come true for the outdoor enthusiast, but a true Shangri-La for our pets! At Mountain Tails we strive to provide the very best for our furry friends. Whether that be locally processed raw elk, eco-friendly toys or a custom upholstered bed that any human would be jealous of...we spoil our pets and aren't afraid to say so! We're always doing our best to keep our customers informed of all aspects of the pet industry in an ongoing effort to not only keep their animals happy, but also healthy. If we don't have something you're looking for, odds are we can get it pretty quickly and we love doing research on products that are new to us. Although we're located in the middle of the mountains we ship our products across the country (often times directly from the manufacturer)...so if you've been to our shop (or website) and love what we have, let us know and we can have it at your front door in no time. And don't forget, if you're on your way to visit the Butte and need something for your stay, give us a call and we'll have your pet's favorite goodies (food, supplements, treats et) waiting upon your arrival. Hello Mountain Tails Family! Happy Holidays, and we hope everyone is having a fun and joyful time this holiday season.
As we end the year, Anne and I wanted to share that Brandon, our amazing friend, partner, and Elk Ave shop manger, hit his 10 year service milestone with Mountain Tails in December. His contributions over the past 3 years since we purchased the business from Evan have been awesome, especially this past year helping us to open up 2 new shops. You all know how much Brandon cares for Mountains Tails, our customers, and their fur babies. CONGRATULATIONS Brandon on 10 years!! 🎉🎉🎉

Hi Mountain Tails Friends:
Given the recent government shutdown and negative impact on snap benefits, here is some info that can help if you’re feeling the financial impact related to feeding your pups or kitties.
We just donated a bunch of dog and cat kibble to the Gunnison Country Food Pantry in Gunnison. If you need dog or cat food go see those awesome folks.
Also, if you are in need of dog or cat food, you can also just stop by any one of our 3 shops (CB, CB South or Salida) and we will be able to help.
For our friends in Salida, we donated dog and cat food to the First Presbyterian Church at 7 Poncha Blvd or you can also go see our friends at the Ark Valley Humane Society in Buena Vista.
Hope this info helps in some small way. ❤️🐾❤️😺
