We offer comprehensive consultations regarding medical, radiation, and surgical oncology, and a full range of orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries to plan the best treatment for your pet. We offer staging via radiographs, ultrasound, CT scan, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy and complete lab diagnostics.

Welcome Dr. Ross Luethcke to the VCSS Oncology team! Dr. Luethcke believes in a team-based approach to cancer care, working closely with other specialists, referring veterinarians, and pet parents to provide comprehensive support at every step of the journey. He recognizes that every family’s situation is unique and prioritizes open, compassionate communication to ensure treatment plans align with each pet’s needs and their family’s goals. Above all, he values quality of life—for both his patients and their caregivers—and strives to empower families with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions with confidence.

Outside of work, Dr. Luethcke enjoys exploring the outdoors, climbing rocks (and the occasional tree), discovering new music, experimenting in the kitchen, hosting Mario Kart tournaments with his family, and learning the art of napping from his cat, Sasquatch. Read his full bio at www.vcsspdx.com

It's National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day and we're ready to celebrate with our friends at Oregon Humane Society! 💚

Oregon Humane Society's mission is one that's close to our hearts, and with nearly 12,000 animals adopted in 2024, it's easy to see why. Of course we're always in support of adopting, but if you aren't ready to make the leap there are countless other ways to support and get involved.

Our favorite? Joining us on Saturday, May 10th for Doggie Dash 2025! 🐶 Whether you want to donate to the cause, volunteer, or register yourself, Doggie Dash is an incredible and fun way to show your support for an amazing organization and all the pets we hold in our hearts. Will we see you there?
