🎬✨ Lights, camera… ADOPTION! ✨🎬
We rolled out the red carpet for some of our adoptable stars at the iconic Franklin Theatre, and they were ready for their close-up! 🐾🍿 A huge thank you to our volunteers and friends at The for collaborating with us on this special photo shoot.

One of our featured stars, Dumplin, has already wrapped up her story with the best kind of Hollywood ending—she’s been adopted!

But the credits haven’t rolled yet… many of her co-stars are still waiting in the wings for their happily-ever-after. You’ll see them making cameo appearances on the big screen before showtime, or you can come meet them in person now at Williamson County Animal Center.
Adopt your new co-star today, and help them start their own blockbuster story. Learn more about them at: www.adoptwcac.org

✨ FOSTER HEROES NEEDED ✨

Tahiti, Felix, Maisie, and Dale have been patiently waiting at Williamson County Animal Center… and it’s time for them to catch a break. These long-term pups are ready to swap kennel runs for couches, and shelter stress for snuggles. 💛

🏡 Why foster?
Fostering doesn’t just help a dog, it transforms them. It builds confidence, teaches house manners, and gives them the one-on-one love they can’t get in a busy shelter. Plus—it frees up space so another homeless pet has a safe place to land.

🐾 Meet the crew:

Tahiti – Mid-low energy, good with dogs. Shy with new people, but once she trusts you, she’s affectionate and loving. Needs patience to help her build confidence.

Felix – Mid-high energy, toy fanatic, very affectionate. Dog selective/reactive, so best as the only dog or with careful management.

Maisie – Loves male dogs, shy at first but very affectionate once she bonds. Fetch champion who shines with patient introductions.

Dale – Lab/Pit mix, mid energy, loves all people. Dog selective, but manageable with someone experienced. Very toy motivated and house trained.

Each of these dogs has something special to offer—but what they really need is YOU. Even a short-term foster stay can change the course of their lives.

If you’ve got a couch, some love, and a little patience, you’ve got what it takes to be their hero. Apply to foster today at https://www.adoptwcac.org/259/Become-a-Pet-Foster

Meet Buster Bobo and his amazing feline squad, the heroes who conquered the rodent invasion at the Williamson County recycling center. These incredible cats were once deemed "unadoptable" due to their spicy personalities or lack of socialization. But today, they have found their true calling as working cats, and they're doing an extraordinary job!
A year ago, our community recycling center was facing a major rodent problem which created an unhealthy work environment. Desperate for a solution, they applied for some working cats at WCAC.
The cats' journey began with a slow and careful introduction to the warehouse and office spaces, where they quickly learned where their daily meals would be served. Within just a couple of weeks, these fearless felines earned the freedom to roam the entire facility, keeping it rodent-free and ensuring a clean and good smelling environment for the staff and customers.
Today, Buster Bobo and his companions have become an inseparable part of the team. They are not only skilled hunters but also beloved family members. The staff adores their unique personalities and is constantly showering them with treats and affection. For the shelter and the recycling center, it was a win-win!
If your farm or business is in need of some exceptional working cats, we will pair you with a fantastic duo of working cats, absolutely free of charge. Simply visit our website at: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/WCAC/22131-working-cats and complete a questionnaire to apply. Our community cat coordinator will be in touch with you soon!
Do you employ a working cat at your farm or business? We'd love to hear about them! Your cats just might be featured! Email us at [email protected]

🌳 Field Trip Spotlight: Naveen 🌳
Thanks to dog volunteer Sara, adoptable pup Naveen (8 mo.) got a much-deserved break from the shelter with a field trip to Jim Warren Park! While he was a little hesitant about hopping in the car at first, he settled right in and enjoyed the short ride. Once at the park, Naveen took a few minutes to warm up to his surroundings but quickly showed his gentle, curious side. He leaned in for pets, walked calmly, and even handled kids playing nearby like a champ.
With just a little patience, Naveen proves he’s ready to shine outside the shelter walls—and he’d love a family to show him the world!
