Welcome, Dr. Harris!

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Harris to our team as a part-time veterinarian.

A proud Western New York native, Dr. Harris earned her DVM from Cornell University, where she cultivated her passion for exotic and zoo animal medicine through experiences at various zoos and aquariums. After graduation, she completed a residency at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium before returning home to start a family and continue her work in private practice.

While she enjoys working with dogs and cats, Dr. Harris is especially excited to return to her roots and focus once again on caring for exotic species — her original calling.

Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking and cooking, getting creative with arts and crafts, and dancing.

Please join us in giving Dr. Harris a warm welcome. We’re so happy to have her on the team!

Meet Negan – a stunning 2.5-year-old Rainbow Boa, named after the Walking Dead character. Negan has been a well-loved pet and is used to gentle handling. Unfortunately, his primary caretaker is moving out, and the family is now looking for a responsible and reptile-loving home for him.

📣 Experienced Bird Lover Wanted!

Meet Joshua – a stunning 46-year-old parrot looking for a loving, patient, and experienced home. His owner has had him since he was a baby, but age is making it hard to keep up with his needs.

🦜 Joshua has a room of his own, loves his TV time, and spends all day out of his cage. He’s got a BIG personality – bold, opinionated, and yes… sometimes a bit bitey! 😅

He’s not a beginner bird, but for someone who understands parrots, he could be a beautiful and rewarding companion.

💬 His current owner is happy to take him back if it doesn’t work out – this is about finding the right home, not just any home.

While many of us will be enjoying cookouts and fireworks, the sights and sounds of the holiday can be stressful — especially for exotic pets! Please remember to keep your feathered, scaled, and small furry friends safe and calm in a quiet, secure environment.

In observance of Independence Day, our clinic will be closed on Friday, July 4th.
We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, July 5th at 8:00 AM.

🏡 Looking for a New Home: Meet Milo & Poppy! 🥺💕

These two adorable ferrets are looking for a loving new home!

Their family is relocating to California—where ferrets are not permitted—so we’re helping spread the word in hopes of finding the perfect match.

🐾 Milo (Male, 3.5 years old)
Playful, chunky, and super friendly! Milo lives for squeaky toys, cuddles, and shoes (yes—shoes!). He comes right to you when you open his door and loves attention.

🐾 Poppy (Female, 3.5 years old)
Petite and sweet, Poppy is a toy thief and a hammock enthusiast. She’s a bit more reserved than Milo but enjoys snuggles and playtime once she’s comfortable.

💼 They will come with:

🐹 Rehoming Alert: Help Fred the Guinea Pig & His Fishy Friend Find a New Home 🐟

We’ve been contacted by a member of our community who was recently in a serious car accident and is now seeking loving homes for her beloved pets.

🐾 Meet Fred – a young male guinea pig, less than a year old, described as very sweet but in need of more daily attention and handling. He will come with his cage and all of his supplies. Fred is currently being cared for by family, but he’s missing the regular interaction he’s used to.

🌊 Also Seeking a Pond-Side Retirement – A goldfish in need of a better home. He’s currently in a small tank after being won at a fair, and his owner now understands he deserves more space. Ideally, we’re hoping to find someone with a proper aquarium setup or even a backyard pond who can provide a more natural home for this little swimmer.

🚨 LOST BIRD ALERT – Bowmansville, NY 🚨

Missing Bird: Archimedes the African Grey Parrot
Archimedes, a beloved African Grey parrot, flew out of a window and has not yet been found.
She was last seen flying from the back left side of the home at 17 Anna Dr, Bowmansville (Lancaster), NY 14026.

Her family has been searching tirelessly with no sign so far. We’re asking our community to keep an eye (and ear) out – parrots can sometimes stay nearby or perch quietly in trees.
