As we all snuggle in this afternoon and try to remember that mother nature always wins, I provide you with the ultimate… Puppy snuggles. There’s nothing like a puppy sleeping, especially with shes with one of her litter mates. Noodles and Nugget are trying to show us how it’s done. Take a load off, take a rest and relax. And if you do it, please do it Big Fluffy style. So folks, Grab your pooch snuggle up and watch your favorite sporting event. Have a wonderful day.

Happy Monday All. There Is almost nothing that makes my eye twitch more than watching puppies grow up in our kennel. Yes, they get the best of care, play time, love and all kinds of attention, but it's not the same. Sweet Romy and her sisters (not pictured, but they are pretty much triplets) are all about 16 weeks old, right now weigh about 20ish pounds, and are sweet Labby gals. They are looking for foster or forever homes.

These beautiful babies need Northeastern (or midwestern) fosters preferably this upcoming weekend. These girls are sweet, loving and fun. They are working on things like potty training, crate training, sit, stay down and the famous "dontchewonthatshoeitsmine". Command. These girls are soft, fluffy and furry and soft as goose down. They are easily trainable to love all your kitties, and get along perfectly with other dogs.

For those of us who have 120 pound lap dogs

This has been a hellish week so far. We are buried in ice, and we have three dogs in critical condition. This one, Billy, is a three year old Great Pyrenees. I had to photoshop over the wound in the pic so those with weak stomachs won't freak out He was shot multiple times and then someone apparently decided to try a home amputation of the leg. For hardier medically-inclined souls who want to see what that looks like there's a pic in the comments. He nearly bled out. Thankfully, someone with a brain stepped in and got him to us.

Billy is in ICU and has undergone surgery to repair the wound. There were multiple bullet fragments, bone fragments, and the remainder of the bone removed. How this dog survived this is beyond my comprehension. This is one of two we have this week with gunshot wounds. Apache is the other one and we are working on him now as well. The third dog is a 2 year old lab mix found laying in the ice motionless and he has parvo. I really really want to quit right now, kids. What kind of monsters are living among us?
