🚨CAN YOU SAVE HIM? 🚨
If anyone wants to help save a shar pei’s life, he’ll be euthanized in the morning without emergency surgery for a blockage (foreign body). The family can’t afford the $3200-$5300 surgery.

We are open to taking him if we can find someone to be his angel & cover the surgery (whatever it actually ends up costing)… we are open to him staying with the family if they are into that if the donor is also into that. Another rescue can certainly take him on 🫶

✨ Walter’s Happy Ending ✨

Last fall, Walter the mastiff came to us after being left in a car with another dog while his owner left town. He was so scared at the shelter that he landed on the euthanasia list after a bite—just a very sensitive soul overwhelmed by change. At Blaine Kennels, Walter settled in beautifully and quickly became a favorite of BK staff and FCAR volunteers.

We’re thrilled to share that Walter has found his perfect home—a hobby farm with another mastiff and some cats! His new family visited him several times and truly took the time to earn his trust. Now Walter absolutely adores them, and we couldn’t be prouder of his journey.
