It’s coming up again on that time of year when the fireworks start and seem to never stop. Be sure to call your vet and inquire about some calming meds, make sure your pet/pets have collars with name tags and especially contact numbers, find a quiet spot for them during the prime firework times and don’t let them out unattended so they don’t run off. As much as many of us pet owners hate them, your pets hate them too so be prepared.

This is Legend and he was adopted from us in February 2019. Legend is still being spoiled in Lafayette, LA by the Banks family. He loves being pampered and carried around like the little Prince that he is. He is definitely living his best life. Keep the spoiling coming, he looks like he doesn’t mind it one bit. Here’s another great update we received!

This is Roscoe enjoying the beach with his family last month. Roscoe (formerly known as Chip) was adopted from us on July 3, 2018. He was available for adoption along with his sister, Joanna. He LOVES to play ball, eat any kind of treat, always demands the “cheese tax” and his favorite thing ever is barking. He is vigilant and always protects us from any delivery especially the UPS truck. Another note is he always announces it’s bedtime when he gets his Grinch that he sleeps with every night. Poor Grinch is in very bad shape, but he loves it! Best of all is he is a super good boy that loves his family and loves to cuddle.

Pup updates make us so happy. We often wonder how they are doing so by sharing updates with us, we still feel like we are part of their lives. If you happen to have adopted Joanna, Roscoe’s family would love to see how she turned out.

Thank you to those who sent pup updates to us, we will be sharing them all so keep looking.

Check out Louie (formerly known as Morgan Wallen) who is thriving in his new home. Louie was adopted from us in February 2024 and is doing remarkably well. His human sent us this about him: “He is the sweetest dog, loves his momma, attention and belly scratches, fetching his ball, golf cart rides and he can never have enough stuffed animals! I’m so happy we have him!” We love receiving updates on all our rescues and to see how wonderful their lives are. Keep the updates coming please. Today is National Rescue Dog Day and we would like to celebrate some of our many many dogs we have rescued. This day is observed annually to bring awareness to the countless number of amazing dogs that deserve a second chance. Rescue dogs are remarkable as they have overcome obstacles and are resilient. It’s so hard for us to understand the struggle and pain these dogs have endured so just being there for them is one of the greatest gifts us humans can give them. By building a friendship with our rescues, we learn the meaning of patience and unconditional love. Shoutout to all of our adopters that gave a rescue dog a second chase at life, love and family.

Paige has been with us for a couple of months with no interest UNTIL the Hader family decided to foster her until she found her forever home. Well search no more sweet girl, you are staying put. It took no time for this family to fall in love with Paige. Paige is such a gem and we are so happy they found each other, life just got much sweeter for Paige!

This is Kevin that was adopted from us in the Spring of 2019. He was found on the side of road in Lafayette along with his two brothers Nick & Joe. We called them The Jonas Brothers litter.

Kevin’s mom reached out to us curious on any updates we might have on his siblings. She wanted to maybe set up a playdate and/or just inquire on how they are doing and what they look like. Happy Gotcha Day JJ (formerly Survi). It’s been an entire year since this guy was adopted and found his FURever home. JJ was our sweet guy that was left behind and found stranded inside a garage and covered in matted fur. We loved him and nursed him back to health. JJ was attending a festival in Denham Springs on April 27th, 2024 when he met this sweet lady that couldn’t resist him. The very next day she adopted him and oh boy did he win big!!

JJ loves laying on top his mom to watch movies, running in the play yard, swimming in grandma & grandpa’s pool, playing outside with new siblings at grandma & grandpa’s, riding in pawpaw’s jeep and happy just laying in the sun. JJ also LOVES chicken! JJ is extremely happy and doing incredibly well. So happy for you sweet guy that you hung on to experience what unconditional love truly is.❤️🐾

Welcome to Bark and Roll Caine! Hello friends, this is our newest rescue Caine, who is a 4 and half year old Labradoodle that is CKC registered. Caine is a super sweet big guy that loves other dogs, people and car rides. Although he looks big, he still needs to gain a little muscle weight. Say hello to Pip that was adopted from us in 2020. Pip(formerly known as Jessica) is approaching her “gotcha day” and her human wanted to share and update us on her. When they got her home she was so little so they called her pip squeak. She’s been known as Pip ever since.

Pip is 5 years old and loves to play fetch in the evenings. She always waits by the door with her toy to remind her humans it’s time if they aren’t moving fast enough. She loves greenies and ice biscuits (ice cubes). She paws at the freezer when she wants one and loves when they toss it up so she can catch it. She has the sweetest disposition and even at 30 pounds, still crawls in their laps. She also loves to lay in the grass and sunbathe when the weather is nice. Pip is living her best life and we are so happy she found her perfect home!

Paige has not received a single application. This black dog syndrome is a real thing and it shouldn’t be. She is a UNICORN for sure. Quiet, dog friendly, loves her humans, crate trained, house broken all the good things already done. Paige is 7 years old and weighs about 30lbs. This sweet little lady is a gem.
