Happy Gotcha Day to Rachel, Earl, and Arya!! This weekend has been absolutely incredible getting dogs flowing — has the dam finally broken free? We're not sure yet, but thats ok. Congratulations on adopting today!!

Have you ever considered adopting but aren't sure if a rescue dog or German Shepherd is for you? Fostering is a great way to test the waters!

We provide fosters with all of the dog's needs!

This fellow, Derek is looking for a foster. He just returned to us after the unfortunate passing of his owner who had adopted him from us years ago. Derek would prefer a home without rowdy young dogs and no cats. He may also prefer teens or no children as he did not have that in his last home.

LOOK! Jäger has decided to write his own pupdate! How cute is this? His Mom and Dad did the intro:

Furrow, now Jäger is doing wonderful here!
Potty training is going well. I haven’t had many accidents and that gets me lots of pets from Mom and Dad. I have weekly puppy training class to learn my manners and I love the 48 acres! Mom and Dad just rescued my big sister Augusta too who is learning our routine, teaching me a lot and getting quite the exercise from me! Boy do we sleep good! She is taking to Mom most, but I’m Dad’s boy. She really loves her bones which I like because I get some too, but dad has ice cream at night and she sits hoping Dad will give her some! Thanks Char-Wills!

Check out this great pupdate for Max and Diamond! Their pawrents have this to say:
We rescued them from Char Wills on 7/19/2025. They're doing great at home.They love to play ball and love to play with each other. They love to go for rides in the vehicle too. Diamond is the little one. And they also enjoy going to Lowe's. Their Dad says they're both Momma babies.🤣❤️

Happy Gotcha Day to: Kharma, Noire, Eclipse, and Ziggy! Also officially adopted today is Sir Sirius Black; the foster decided to give him a permanent home. Another very successful adoption day indeed, woo-hoo!! But now we don't have many dogs to pick from for tomorrow's potential appointments 😅 Always better to not have enough than to be over-full. Congratulations, and thank you for adopting today, everyone!

What a great Happy Tails Story from Sam's Pawrents:
We brought Sam home 3 years ago. Today, she is almost 8 years old 🩷
Since her first day home she immediately took on a role of being a best friend to our son after cautious introduction. She's such a fun, loving goofball. Sam spends her days playing with her tiny human, going on hikes, car rides and snoozing around the house. Somedays she is even lucky enough to tag along to work with us! She's the absolute perfect family dog and we're so thankful to have her in our lives 😊

Note: she is offsite in the jail program to return early September.

1 year old female. Full of energy but very obedient. Absolutely loves to play fetch. Knows sit and loved being pet/getting attention. Very smart girl! Loved to play in the water. Also has cool markings on her tongue and is an absolutely stunning dog.

2.5 years old with soft ears. Good with kids. He also walked very well, knew sit, and took treats very gently. Loves snacks (very food motivated) and a good listener. Seems like a sweet and energetic boy.

He is also athletic and can scale 5’ walls and fences. It seems he would thrive with another dog, particularly one he attaches himesef to.

HUGE Happy Gotcha Day to: Lady Bird, Ariel, Franklin, Tyson, and Belladonna!! We can't remember the last time we got 5 dogs adopted out in one day. Not to mention how thrilled we are about some big names making their way to amazing homes today. Simply incredible work, volunteers! Congratulations, everyone, for coming to adopt today!! And cheers to the next 2 days being just as successful 🥂🥳 (fingers crossed 🤞)

Julio's Pawrents send this wonderful Happy Tails Pupdate:
He is loved by so many. My uncles and aunts and he is smitten with my mother.

He chases the squirrels all day and chipmunks.😂 He's faster then a four legged.

Our vet loves him. He's in perfect health.

I cant even tell you the joy he brings us.

Happy Gotcha Day to Augusta and Dallas!! Two very sweet girls found very nice homes today, and we couldn't be happier for them. The next few days look to be busy for the rescue. With some luck, lots of pups can find their forever homes! Thank you for adopting!!
