Animal Safe Haven & Adoptions, Inc. Fundraising This is a Fundraising page for ASHA which is a registered non-profit animal rescue organization & don't receive funding from the government.

We operate solely on donations from our supporters. We will use this page to advertise our fundraising events. ASHA's typical expenses include wet and dry cat food, paper pellet cat litter, flea and tick prevention medication, spay & neuter surgeries, and treatment of anything from common illness to emergency illness by our partnered veterinarians. The money we raise here will go towards those expenses. We also are greatly appreciative of those items being donated to the rescue.

It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN! *cue the music*
Christmas is less than a week away! If you are anything like me, busy as all get out, then you are scrambling to get stuffing stockers, gifts and even have it wrapped ASAP while not breaking the bank!

Well do WE have a deal for YOU!!

We have a list of fundraiser items for SALE! (Not auction)
These items are for sale first come first served and can be picked up in Elkridge ASAP after payment online via our website (rescueandadopt.org). $5 additional if you want us to also wrap it up so it's ready for the stocking or under the tree. If you are interested in an item or gift set, comment on it's post or email us at [email protected], and then we will confirm that it is still available so you can submit payment and then schedule pickup.

We have been swamped with animals nonstop since the beginning of the pandemic and are still swamped due to the local large rescues being shut down for many months now, and likely will still be shut down for many more months, due to disease outbreaks and large hoarding cases. So we have been contacted daily by people all over the place in need of help. Unfortunately we can only do so much as a foster system.

We are so grateful for the support everyone has shown us. We have been able to help hundreds of animals get vetting, recovery, socialized, and adopted. We have had numerous emergency and unplanned sick vet visits, so our bank account has taken a hit. With a full deck of animals (truly, we have about 50 animals at any one time) we are desperate to ensure that we keep our bank account in the black so we can afford the much needed vet care and supplies these rescued animals need.

But on to the goodies!! The full list of our long list of the dozen of items is on our website rescueandadopt.org with more details (and/or more photos) for each item.

We will mark the item's sold ASAP they are paid for.

HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that has supported the rescued animals via our Silent Auction!
Here is an example of one of the rescued kitties you are helping us help!

In rescue with us at ASHA since the Summer of 2020 Damion was rescued from a home where the owner had passed away and family did not want to take on the responsibilities of the cats so him and several others were trapped and transferred to us. He is very friendly and affectionate. He is playful and silly. He would do best in a home with settled adults, no kids and minimal other animals.

**Damion is Felv -- feline leukemia -- positive. He is FIV negative**

He was essentially a feral, stayed outside and was not friendly at all. He went in for vetting and was tested as FeLV POSITIVE, so the vet called us to confirm we wanted to euthanize him. But FeLV is not a medical necessity in our books to euthanize. So he got fully vetted, came back to foster and was kept away from other cats. At first he was as wild as a Black Panther. People couldn't get near him, and he would lash out as soon as we would come near.

After recovering from his initial shock of people and the new place, he settled in and slowly showed his soft side. It's been months now and he is one of the most friendly and outgoing kitties we know.

Great with dogs, kids and strangers - he would do ok with other cats too, but as FeLV positive he will need to be with ONLY other kitties that have tested positive for Felv too. However he is getting to the age where he is more interested in hanging with his people or in the sunshine at the window.

We took him to get him further tested too to see which stage he is at as he has NO symptoms and is a roburst and healthy boy. He is full FeLV, it is in his bone marrow, so his body wont be able to fight it off and he is contagious, as expected.

Up to date on vaccines, neutered, dewormed, microchipped and has tested negative for FIV and POSITIVE FeLV.

He has not shown any symptoms and is strong and well at this time - we expect him to live a long, happy life INSIDE.

Adoption Fee is $75 for cats over a year old. We do offer a 15% discount for adopting 2 cats at once.

Our October Fundraiser for Animal Safe Haven and Adoptions, Inc. is finally up and running!!!

Our Goal this year for our BIG ONLINE AUCTION is to raise at least $4,000!! Help us meet and hopefully exceed that goal by bidding, sharing and hopefully winning an item... or 5!! :)

As you have seen here on social media we have been hit extremely hard this year with intake requests, emergencies and even losses. We aim to help the animals that come across our path as much as we can, but without supporters like you we aren't able to rescue and rehome the abandoned, neglected and injured animals.
Help us help them!

For the auction items in this post; the Auction starts Wednesday 10/12/21 and bidding will close Saturday 10/30/21 at 7pm.

Starting bid is posted on each item and is to go up in increments of at least $1. Bids must be made on the photo of the item you are interested in here on this post.

Pick up only is to be after payment is made via online only through our website. If payment is not made within 72 hours, or if an item does not receive any bids, or if an item is not picked up after several attempts of reaching out, we will put the items back in circulation and re auctioned at the end of October.

Questions? Just ask!
