Do you love coffee and rescue cats? We are looking for a part-time Barista & Cat Care Specialist to join our team! We need a hardworking, empathetic, and reliable individual who can manage both the coffee bar and the cat lounge. We expect our team to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities: Welcoming guests and preparing their drinks and snacks. Ensuring the cats have a clean, safe, and happy environment (cleaning, feeding, litter management).
Facilitating adoptions, including putting cats into carriers.
Requirements: Must be 18+
Previous customer service/barista experience preferred.
Weekend availability is a MUST.
Salary starts at $14/hr + Tips, with a guaranteed raise to $15 after 6 months.

A neighboring rescue has had a tough blow this week and could use some help. We're so glad to hear all people and animals are safe. If anyone can foster, please reach out to them!

As many of you may have heard, our facility experienced an after-hours fire on May 5, 2026.

Right now, our team is continuing to work closely with local authorities as the cause of the fire remains under investigation. We are incredibly grateful to the fire department and first responders who acted so quickly and compassionately to keep our animals, staff, volunteers, and community safe. We truly cannot thank them enough for everything they have done.

Most importantly, all of our animals are safe. Any animals affected by smoke or the incident were immediately moved off site for monitoring and care. We also want to give a very special thank you to the incredible team at K9 Kaos for stepping in without hesitation to house our dogs, help care for them, and even provide baths and comfort during such a stressful time. Their kindness and support has meant the world to us.

We are also endlessly thankful for our staff and volunteers who jumped into action immediately, putting the animals first every single step of the way. Watching this community come together in a moment of crisis has been overwhelming in the best possible way.

At this time, per our veterinarian’s recommendation, we will not be adopting out any dogs who were in the building during the fire while we carefully monitor their health over the next 72 hours to ensure everyone remains safe and healthy.

Many of our programs and services, including pet food assistance and animal intakes, will be very limited at this time as our team focuses on emergency response, animal care, and next steps for the shelter.

Thankfully, our cat and small animal areas were not affected as seriously. Out of an abundance of caution and based on the recommendation of professionals, we have evacuated all cats and small animals as well.

As this situation continues to unfold and we learn more about what our animals and shelter will need in the coming days, monetary donations are the most helpful way to support us right now. Your support will help us provide emergency care, temporary housing, supplies, medical monitoring, and whatever additional resources may be needed as we move forward.
