Last month I lost over half of my flock, to coyotes. An a Raven was stealing our eggs.

I have no plans on building a run. Only because we are looking at possibly selling the property. And my flock free ranges for the most part.

I did place a radio inside the coop.
I would like to turn it off. But, I think it’s working, when they are out.

The flock that is left are from local heritage breeders. I call them my rainbow flock.

I got these runs off Amazon. I needed something with easy setup, take down, can use in other ways, or store if not using. They have multiple doors. So I figured out how to join them together. 😂. They are a pain to clean out, putting waters and feed inside. It does gets the job done. I might get 1 or 2 more. 😂

Yes the Rainbow Flock is mad. They will get over it

Are your hens first time layers. You are kinda baffled at the weird eggs they gifted to you. I can tell you it’s very normal. The Chatty Hens are first timers too. Their eggs yesterday were funny shaped, small large and double yolk. Each egg we cracked open the shell was prefect.
