Welcome to all of you joining us from Carnegie Cat Clinic

This handsome, handsome boy with the wonderful whiskers and heart-shaped pink nose💗 is Figaro! He's about 1 1/2 years old and he and his sister Amber boarded with us recently. It might be hard to tell but we had to dig Figaro out from under a towel AND a blanket to take a photo of him. Is this normal for him? We asked his mom.

"Fígaro loves finding dark hiding places throughout the house. Whether it is the top shelf of a closet, a kitchen cabinet, or the deepest basement hiding spot, he enjoys napping in peace and quiet all day until it is time for dinner.

It is no surprise to see him peeking out from his blanket while boarding at the clinic!"

Please say hi to sweet Figaro and then enjoy the rest of your Friday!😊

If you are joining us from Carnegie Cat Clinic WELCOME!😊

We know you are all here because you want to know more about this pretty cat. Her name is Shirley and she is 12 years old. We've known her and her brother Sherlock for about 6 years. They are fairly regular boarders with us.

When we sent this photo of Shirley to her mom, her mom mentioned that this was one of the few pictures of Shirley without a "caution" sign on her cage door. "while she is a beloved cat, she typically has the “caution” sign on her cage since she is grumpy when she is ill." Shirley is being treated for cancer at the moment and has every right to be grumpy if she feels like it. We'll always try to befriend every single pet we meet to make their vet visit less stressful.

Here's what Shirley is like at home according to her mom, "Shirley is a 12-year old ginger tabby who loves delicious food and long naps. She enjoys talking to birds and chasing her brother, Sherlock." We love imagining Shirley talking to birds and chasing Sherlock!

So please say hi to beloved Shirley and then enjoy the rest of your Thursday!😊

Meet Toby! 💙🎉💙

Toby is 11 years old and he's a Schnoodle. The name of the breed gives it away but a Schnoodle is a cross between a Schnauzer and a Poodle. Toby weighs 20 pounds which gives you an idea of his size.

When we asked his dad about Toby, we learned, "he circles himself a few times as he escorts me to the treat room." Sounds like Toby gets brains and agility from both parents!

Please say hi to our smart, sweet, fluffy friend Toby and then enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!😊

If you are joining us from Carnegie Cat Clinic WELCOME!

We have a gorgeous new kitten for you today. Meet Loki!💙🎉💙 He is another gorgeous Ragdoll (and yes, all Ragdolls are gorgeous!) He's about 20 weeks old and he did wonderfully well during his first boarding experience. He definitely made lots of new friends with the staff.

Here's what we learned about Loki from his dad, "He is super playful and mischievous, but also incredibly sweet. Lately he's been having fun redecorating our house with toilet paper haha. He also enjoys watching sports and chasing the ball around the screen." OK. Loki is as perfect at home as he is while boarding!

Please say hi to our new friend Loki and then enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!😊

Here's a familiar face for all of you joining us from Carnegie Cat Clinic

This is our friend Honey and she boarded with us recently and arrived in a fancy new carrier. We wanted to know more about this carrier and learned that Honey tends to get car sick and sort of ruined her last carrier. Her mom was hoping that this carrier would be better for Honey - she can easily look out of the carrier from any direction - and at the very least, it would be easier to clean out if Honey did get sick in it. We can report that on the way to see us, Honey did not get sick. On the way home, she did. Poor girl.

Do any of your pets get carsick? Do you have tips for what helps your pet? You can ask your vet if an anti nausea medication like Cerenia would be helpful for future car rides.

Please join us in congratulating Honey on her new carrier and fingers crossed it helps her get carsick less often! And now, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!😊

How about Romy and her pretty smile for your Tuesday morning!🎉😊🎉

Romy is 4 years old and she's a Bernedoodle weighing just 23 pounds - so she's a little, fluffy girl.

When we sent Romy's mom Natalie's fantastic photo and ask her if we could share the photo, this was her reply, "We think she’s the cutest dog ever and appreciate someone else recognizing her awesomeness :) haha " We can't tell you how much we loved that response.💗

Here are some more fun facts about Romy from her mom:

1. At home, Romy is often referred to as “Pony,” “Rooster,” and “Gooey”/“The Goo.” She doesn’t understand these words at all.
2. She’s never met a banana she didn’t like. Or blueberry… or peanut butter… or piece of cheese…
3. She is the only pet we’ve ever had that is actually HAPPY to be at the vet’s office!"

OK. Now our hearts are all gooey. Romy loves going to the vet!🥰

Please say hi to Romy and then enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!😊

Today is an incredibly important Day.

It's Check The Chip Day!

We think it's very important for ALL pets to be microchipped - even strictly indoor cats. Once your pet is microchipped, make sure that your contact information is up to date in the national database. You can check your pet's microchip information at: https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search

Ask us to check your pet's microchip the next time they visit the vet so we can confirm that the microchip is working and add your pet's microchip number to OUR databases if it's missing.

We want to thank Sara and Tundra, Natalie's dog, for helping out with today's post. And now, please enjoy the rest of your Friday!😊
