Two amazing and well-mannered pups available for adoption together. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Lexi is a female Siberian Husky, approximately 1.5 years old, who walks well on leash and rides nicely in a vehicle. She is a calm gal by nature but loves to kick up her paws and play too. Silas is a male Husky/Lab mix, approximately 1 year old, who rides nicely in a vehicle. He is goofy and playful as he is still a puppy but settles down when it's time to learn new things. They know “sit” and “wait” when getting treats and are working on “down,” “stay,” and “here” commands. They are very friendly with all people, love attention, and ignore cats. Silas and Lexi are looking to be adopted together because Silas gets anxious without Lexi, who is likely Silas’s mom. They are available for adoption because their owner died. No adoption fee for these guys, but a donation to Concho Animal Advocates or Great Spirit Animal Sanctuary would be greatly appreciated. A home visit may be part of the adoption process. Secure fencing at least 5' is a requirement. They are located in the Arizona White Mountains near Snowflake. For more information, please call or text Kathy at 602-316-5293.

VOLUNTEER TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED Monday, 9/8. Pick up at Holbrook AZ Animal Control shelter at 8:15 am for a meetup at 9:15 at June's Cafe in Heber. Transporting two, three, or four 9-week old puppies in a crate; not sure just how many right now. If you can help, DM, text or call Tedi at 928-245-8704. This rescue transfer and transport is arranged by Great Spirit Animal Sanctuary. NOTE: Monday at these times is the only possibility.

We had two rescue transports today! Rescue knows no Labor Day. First, Mary T Roney took the 3 month old heeler puppy from the Snowflake shelter to Phoenix. Next, Dani Casto, Kent Johnston, and Patti Knowles got mama Copper and her 5 babies from Holbrook AZ Animal Control shelter to Phoenix. All went to The Barking Lot Dog Rescue to be fostered, altered, and eventually adopted. The transfers and transports were arranged by Great Spirit Animal Sanctuary. Thank you all for the teamwork.

Meet Peaches. Peaches was rescued yesterday and will call the Sanctuary her home. She has some shyness issues to work through but one thing is for sure she'll have a huge extended family to help her work through anything.

If you can, please join us in person at Wine Mountains where you can also participate in the silent auctions and 50/50 raffle, plus we have some additional items for sale at Wine Mountains that aren't online. Also, Strut Your Mutt Mobile Pet Spa will be set up in the parking lot for pet nail trims and photo pet portraits by donation to Great Spirit. Great Spirit president and founder Tom Ziebell will also be at Wine Mountains to answer questions about the Sanctuary, past, present, and future. Plus live music by Tony Falco. Also for purchase, great food and drink by Wine Mountains. One of the best kept secrets on The Mountain may be that Wine Mountains has really good food and they serve more than wine to drink.

Your participation in this fundraiser helps us continue to support the over 100 animals with a home for life at the Sanctuary and the Sanctuary's area animal control shelter rescue program. So far this year, Great Spirit has saved 76 dogs from euthanization at our area animal control shelters by fostering and adoptions, transferring to other rescues, or taking to live at the Sanctuary -- 47 from Holbrook AZ Animal Control Shelter (where most of the Navajo County Animal Control dogs go), 23 from Snowflake-Taylor Animal Control Shelter, 4 from the St. Johns AZ Animal Control Shelter, and 2 from Pet Allies/Show Low Animal Control Shelter.

Great Spirit Animal Sanctuary is an all volunteer organization and 100% of proceeds go to animal care and animal rescue.
