July is 💦PET HYDRATION AWARENESS MONTH💦 and with the rising temperatures here in Houston we want to make sure you and your best friend keep hydrated this summer. 😍 If you think your dog might be dehydrated, here are a few things you can do at home:

💧Try sneaking water to your dog's kibble at dinner.
💧Make sure they have access to water both inside and outside.
💧Make sure water bowls are always full and CLEAN, you wouldn't want icky water!
💧Play in the shade when possible and get your pups back into the A/C when it gets too hot!

🐕‍🦺 Check the Chip. Take a trip to the vet to confirm your pet is chipped; if not, it's a quick and relatively painless procedure! Get your pet chipped as soon as possible, as they are more likely to be brought home if they are chipped! 🎉

🐕‍🦺 ALWAYS have them wear a leash and collar when they leave the house so (1) they are easily identifiable and (2) you can be easily contacted if found by a stranger!

🐾Vomiting and/or diarrhea
🐾Lack of energy
🐾Loss of appetite
🐾Excessive/ongoing panting
🐾Sunken/dry eyes
🐾Dry and sticky gums

July is 💦PET HYDRATION AWARENESS MONTH💦 and with the rising temperatures here in Houston we want to make sure you and your best friend keep hydrated this summer. 😍Here are a few tips for hydration:

🐾Keep an eye on the water bowl: Is your dog getting enough? Your pet needs 1 oz. of water per 1 lb. of body weight. As an example, my Lola is a 60 lb. German Shepherd so she would need 60 oz. of water each day to keep hydrated!💧She has a sister and between the two of them it can be quite a task to keep them hydrated so we got her a Gravity Filling Water Bowl: https://amzn.to/3zpJNPf
🐾When in doubt, bring water with you: Make sure you bring enough, and don't forget to take frequent water breaks! Bring a portable water bottle for dogs with you to make it super easy when you're on the go: https://amzn.to/3Le2tUp

❇ Starting TODAY July 1st, 2025, there will also be a few changes to our drop off and pick up windows; make sure to check those out.
