Cu, the Irish Wolfhound puppy, is here from Arkansas and did an absolutely wonderful job today!

We worked on pacing, "look", appropriate human greetings AND non greetings, wait, and so much more.

It's hard being a BIG puppy (103 # and growing!!) but learning is so much fun, and so rewarding for the human and the pups!

Earlier this week, our very own seven month old River was the test dog for a canine good citizen test for one of the service dogs in Service Dogs Iowa. Then she stayed and was the "dog distraction" during some of their additional training.

She crushed it. So obedient. Even executed a task command demonstration. Good job, Rivies. So proud.

The dog we were testing was a male, 4 year old border collie. He passed his CGC!!!

Okay, look at him! His name is Otter, and his owner called him OTTER PUP! Cutest!

Otter did great at his consult lesson this morning. We are so looking forward to watch his progress through customized lessons.

The consult lessons are where FFDT takes a look at all the things, including body language, behaviors of note, how the dog interacts with and learns from you and us, obtain baselines, and of course try a few things!
