UCF’s stunning upset over Alabama in 2000 was defined by a strong defensive effort, with key players like Willie Davis and Rico Joseph anchoring the team. Rico Joseph, who famously said after the game, "We've been wanting something like this for a long time. It was like a dream come true," helped set the tone with critical defensive plays, helping UCF maintain control and keep the momentum.
