Rescued, Not Forgotten: A Mother’s Will to Survive
For over a two months, we searched for a mother dog who had disappeared while pregnant. We didn’t know if she’d survived, if her pups made it, or if anyone had helped her. When we finally found her, we realized she had been doing whatever she could to keep herself alive—not just for her own sake, but for her babies.
In her desperation, she was eating grass, hay—anything—to keep her stomach full, not for nourishment, but to make sure she could produce enough for her pups. That’s the instinct of a mother. Her body was worn, but her spirit remained.
This isn’t just about dogs. It’s about mothers of all kinds. Struggling, surviving, doing everything they can with what little they have—not always visible in our everyday lives. Whether they walk on two legs or four, motherhood is a journey of sacrifice and resilience.
Our nonprofit doesn’t just rescue animals. We shed light on their stories—especially mothers like her—because they remind us of something bigger. You’ll see us pushing strollers at events, but not just for human babies. Some are for dog moms too. Every life matters.
Let’s continue raising awareness. Let’s give these mothers the recognition and support they deserve.
