The post I have been waiting to share-VIOLET IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!
She went to her forever home this week!!!!! I am so grateful to Nicole, for insisting her grandma adopt her after she was left all alone in her house after the passing of her beloved dog and senior kitty this year.
Nicole drove over an hour to bring Vi To grandma after a meeting and introduction earlier this week.
What a wonderful pair these two will make!!! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for giving our Vi the life she deserves!!! 😍

“Smudge is doing fantastic!! First week without getting a scratch from her!! She is loving her own space and living in a quiet house which is just what she needed.
She saw the vet for a checkup and we discovered that she is blind in her left eye. She also has a tumor about jelly bean size on her side that he took a sample of. Still waiting on results.
So now I put drops in both dog and cat eyes every day!! 🤣
My vet just laughs and asks me where I find all these needy animals! But he knows they are living their best life!
She loves to sit with me on the couch and I know she’s content because she makes biscuits and then lays with her feet tucked under her. She is happy and content!!”
Thank you for your submission Pam!!! 🥹🥰

Adopt Marmalade! 🧡
Calling all orange tabby lovers, (kitten photographed in last two photos is not available yet!) have we got a sweetie for you! Marmalade was rescued from downtown Rochester, purring and rubbing against the feeder. He is an abused and abandonded cat.
His first few weeks he was shy but enjoyed pets, and has come so far. He loves to sleep by his person, (his foster at this moment), he now comes out for strangers, not always for pets but to let people see him. Finally, the expansion of love and closeness he has gained is amazing. He asks for pets, is willing to be held for short bits of time, and is becoming the lap cat he was born to be!
$145 adoption fee. All of our kitties come fully vetted and health screened including, fixed, vaccines up to date, dewormed and flea treated, as well as combo tested!
**If you’ve adopted from us before no need to put in an additional application! Simply text Alanna at (585)-490-2458 or email [email protected]

Happiest adoption to Tortellini!!!!! 🎉🐱🥳
We are SO beyond thrilled that this sweet girl found her FOREVER home with the incredible Pelkey family. We cannot thank you all enough!
We received this update on her -
“We noticed she really liked retreating to the dankest, spider web ridden areas of our basement. I think she misses living under a porch or something. Haha - anyways, we cleaned the nook under our basement stairs and now she has a cozy little spot for when home life gets overwhelming”
Loving our Meeps exactly as they are means EVERYTHING to us!!! Happy life baby!!! 🥰

Love for Misfit Meeps
This story starts with a beautiful handicapped kitty named MarciMeep. She was found in a garbage can at just three weeks old. Marceline was born with a unique brain condition, a form of cerebral hypoplasia, that caused her paralysis although she had feeling all over her body. She was able to move her neck, head, back legs slightly and her tail. She loved meowing, eating, and above all, giving and receiving love. Alanna received a call about her and immediately went to pick her up, while her condition was completely unknown at this time. The two were bonded upon first look.
Alanna took her to many vets to asses her condition and ensure quality of life. Most vets suggested euthanasia at just three weeks old as “her life would be nothing but gradual suffering” and was given a life expectancy of no more than six months. Alanna took her to Cornell Veterinary Hospital and was assured that Marci was not in any pain and with proper care could live a very comfortable life, although projected to be shorter than most other cats. Throughout the duration of Marci’s life she needed constant care, and precise attention to her needs and wants. Alanna owns her own grooming business (Furry Paws Pet Salon in Spencerport, NY) so she was able to bring her to work every day with her. Her routines included assisted feedings of canned food and water, lots of bath clean ups after going to the bathroom (she did have control of this), and most importantly constant love, snuggles and kisses. Alanna provided her with one on one attention all day, every single day, because that is exactly what Marci deserved as all special needs animals deserve. They all deserve to be given a chance, regardless of the severity of their condition, as long as they are not in pain or suffering.
Marci absolutely loved her life, and she exuded it to everyone that had the privilege of meeting her. She passed away at three and a half years old from suspected lung cancer, and diagnosed pneumonia. There were so many characteristics that made her uniquely “her” from her little tongue blep to her intense and bright green eyes. She impacted and inspired everyone that heard her story, and will continue to do so. As the founder of this cat rescue, it is my hope that through Marci’s legacy, we will save the lives of those that are considered “not adoptable” and give them all beautiful and happy lives by finding them their perfect forever homes. We must be the voice for the voiceless.
Love for Misfit Meeps is recognized as a not-for-profit cat rescue in New York State. Alanna has the dream of saving cats from Verona Street Animal Shelter in Downtown Rochester that are disabled or special needs, those that have been at the shelter for a long duration and those that are next in line for euthanasia.
Marci’s ability to inspire and legacy will continue with every single life we save.
