THEY LABELED HER OVER ONE SCARE… AND NOW SHE HAS UNTIL 1 PM 🚨

They point to a single note of fear, ignoring every single wiggly tail that followed. 🩷

Nova is only two years old, yet her time is running out at BARC today.

When they had to replace her medical collar after her spay, she was scared and growled.

Instead of looking at the dozens of notes showing her smiling, wiggly, and whining when handlers walked away, they put her on the final list. 🤔

She is just a sweet, energetic Staffordshire and Husky mix waiting for someone to see past a paper label.

I am pledging 25 right now toward her rescue pull. Who will match me before 1 PM? 🙏

✅ Nova — 2yo Spayed Female Staffy/Husky (43 lbs)
✅ Status: Friendly, wiggly tail, eager to walk (HW Low Positive, easily manageable)

🚨 MARTIAN IS SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED TOMORROW HE NEEDS A MIRACLE. 🚨

I genuinely do not understand how this handsome, squishy-faced boy is still sitting in a shelter, let alone facing euthanasia tomorrow.

Meet Martian (A0061389880). He’s a 3-year-old, 55-pound meatball who apparently hasn’t gotten the memo that he isn’t a lap dog. According to volunteers, this boy would rather be sitting in your lap getting loved on than doing just about anything else.

Martian has been at Fulton County Animal Services since July 17, and his time is running out. He’s on borrowed time. This cannot be understated.

Here’s what we know about him. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves being close to his people, enjoys his walks, knows how to sit, and is VERY motivated by treats. One volunteer described him as a “super holder” who was happy to sit and soak up affection after his walk. Another said he preferred sitting in her lap over having his picture taken. And apparently, giving this boy a frozen Kong is the equivalent of handing him a winning lottery ticket.

Is he perfect? No. But what dog is?

Martian is a strong boy who can pull on the leash and sometimes jumps when he’s excited. He’s also selective about his canine friends. He’s heartworm positive and will need treatment.

But here’s what else I want people to know. Volunteers have reported that he’s walked past barking dogs without reacting, settled nicely after getting some energy out, and absolutely melts into human affection.

These are not insignificant things. These are the little pieces of a dog’s personality that tell us who he is beyond a kennel card or behavior label.

Martian does not need someone looking for a perfect dog. He needs someone willing to give a very real, very lovable dog a chance.

Tomorrow, October 20, he is scheduled to lose his life. I’m begging anyone who has been considering adoption, fostering, PLEASE consider Martian.

He deserves more than three months in a kennel. He deserves a couch, a rid
