$2 Tuesday has unfortunately turned into $10 Thursday, why? Because it's hot but it's even hotter inside the building so we can't move the dogs into it until it's insulated and electrical has been run for ac and fans.

EVEN IF we ignore the floor and just go with the hard packed gravel we have, which supposedly turns concrete like after it's been driven over, walked on, etc., we have to insulate and run electrical to the building before any of the dogs can move in. It will cost thousands for these 2 things to be done, we are waiting on quotes for them, if anyone knows anyone in our area that does things, please have them reach out.

But in the meantime we need money, lots of money and since I know that I won't get anything on the street corner besides getting hit by a truck, I'm BEGGING everyone who sees this to help us. Truly BEGGING, on my knees even, will need help up after, but you get my point.

So PLEASE help us, it's awful to see this big beautiful building sitting there empty when it could be full of dogs happy to be out of heat and in the ac.

Here are just some of our pups that have been here way to long looking for their forever homes 😭 We know their perfect families are out there somewhere, they just haven't seen each other yet. Some of these pups have been here since they were as young as 8 weeks old 😭 it's not fair for them to grow up without a family.

🌻💛 A Very Special Thank You 💛🌻

Every so often, someone comes along and reminds us just how much love and goodness is still in the world, and this time, that someone is one incredibly kind and thoughtful young lady.

Her family adopted Fleece from us( now Orion) who is sibling to Yukon, Velvet, and Halo, who are still waiting for their forever homes. So what did she do? She sold sunflowers to raise funds for our rescue, Decator's Place/Mid Missouri Malamute Rescue🌻

She didn’t do it for recognition or praise, she did it simply out of the goodness of her heart, to help more dogs like Orion find safety and love. That kind of compassion and initiative is rare, and we are deeply touched.💛

It means the world to us to have such thoughtful, generous people in our rescue family. Orion is living his best life, and we are beyond grateful his family, especially this amazing young girl, is part of his journey.

So thank you for being the beautiful soul that you are. You are such a gift to us, and we are so proud to have you and your family as part of the Decator’s Place family. 💕🐾

Ok so here it goes, we got 1 bid for concrete of just over $16,000 with no drainage.
We ABSOLUTELY cannot build kennel rooms until this is done, because once everything goes inside, it's not coming back out to pour concrete.

Then we need insulation and electrical, who knows how much that will cost 🤦‍♀️ But we can't move the dogs in without all of this. We can't save more if we don't have all this done either.

We can't do this alone, we desperately need EVERYONE'S help, $2 Tuesday isn't going to cut it I'm afraid 😭😭😭

We already have a building payment to come up with every month, so our collective pockets, Angela, Ray's and mine, are empty.

Yesterday we learned of a little girl whose family adopted one of Halo, Velvet and Yukon's littermates. That little girl sat up a stand and sold Sunflowers so she could send us a donation. That AMAZING young lady made $200 from selling Sunflowers and is sending it to us!

If a little girl can make $200 for her puppy's rescue, then why can't adults donate even $10 each?? 5904 x$10 each would be $59,000 if my math is correct, more than enough to completely finish this building.

I'll tell you what, that little girl is a Rockstar and I will definitely be buying a plaque with her name on it to hang on the building ❤

Please help us get this done so we can get our dogs moved in and maybe go save some more. Because that's what we are here to do right? Save lives and we will save more, just you watch, all in the name of the pup that started it all, Decator.

Message to our monthly donors: There are almost enough of you now that food costs are just about completely covered. Even though that is a small portion of the monthly costs of running this rescue, I have to tell you, one less worry, is one less worry, no matter how you look at it!!!

Even though we owe a huge thanks to our donors that step up to cover big vet bills, kennels, and fencing, and the good Lord knows I'm going to need your help to get this building where we need it to be!

I just wanted you to know, not having to worry everyday about where the next bag of food is coming from, is a huge weight lifted!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
