Holly will be turning 9 yrs old this Christmas Day. She is one of my original Lapponian Herders. It is her talent that keeps the farm varmint free year around. Snakes, mice, rats, chipmunks, possums-she backs down on nothing. She is fabulous with chickens. Lays down & lets them nest on her back.
Today, who knew there was a chipmunk in the earth about a foot under red clay & grass? Holly did! A nice afternoon snack.

Two great pups, approaching 14 weeks, ready for their new homes. Purebred Lapponians Herders. Mom is Annukka, Holly’s daughter from her last litter.
One female Ruby & 1 male Bear, available.
Ruby (on left)is ready for farm work & active life. Bear (on right)is a bit more laid back with a goofy personality.
If you don’t know about Lapponians, they are the best of farm dogs & working dogs. Need rodent control; they have that covered. Need protecting from predators? Their bark deters predators of all types-ground or air. Herding, kayaking, agility, scent work, a pal to hang with. They work from instinct & are very smart.
Located in upstate New York but I & Annukka’s owner are happy to help you with airflight in cargo. It’s easy.

It’s a match for Aarre & Ripley. Pups expected around Easter 2025.
Ripley’s instincts are to protect against cougars & bears & large predators. He’s a big marshmallow in personality. Excellent hip rating.
Aarre is direct from Finland. Pedigree from Father’s side is in reindeer herding. Her strong instinct is to protect her animals, whether they are the reindeer or chickens. She loves her livestock.
Aarre has Wolf coloring & Ripley is a Sable.

Annukka is in the big city. So different from the farm. She made friends, met her great cousin Clara, met her Aunt & Uncle & was introduced to PLANES & the sounds they make! Tomorrow she has a 6 hr flight to her new home & will meet her new family.

It’s much easier to show Blixten off in a video than a still photo. His coat still has a curly look to it, & he’s getting these gorgeous markings on his legs. Don’t know what color they will end up. Colors change fast at this age.

Tora (looking straight at camera), & Raine look so similar but have very different personalities. Raines coat is a deep glossy black, while Tora has a more dark charcoal colored coat. It’s always interesting to see how the pups change colors so much in the first weeks.
