Fun fact, these are not the same dog. Its a momma and her pup actually! They were working on their leash skills and public skills, and I have a feeling that they're doing great! Not to mention, I just love these fluffy giant sized dogs 😆

Bax he at the end of a reactivity in public training. He is definitely tuckered out at this point, and look at that big ol mouth. So cute!

He definitely tired himself out, but he did really great, and was able to get a lot of interactions in with other dogs. He still has a journey ahead of him, but I know he is definitely on the right track now!

Great hob Bax, keep up the good work!

Watching the Seattle Kraken hockey game with Zero. An interesting fact that I learned is that each hockey team has a unique goal horn sound at their home rink.

So knowing this information, every time the Kraken get a goal, I throw a handful of treats on the floor for zero. It's at the point now where when he hears that horn go, he jumps down and gets all excited! It's super cute and fun.

That's how easy training can be sometimes!

Zero and I got some tracking/scent work practice in on this lovely spring day. The ground was still a bit damp, and the winds hadn't really picked up yet, with a little bit of sunshine out. These are basically some of the best conditions for scent work! Zero definitely spent a good amount of time just air scenting as well, I wonder what sorts of those things he picked up on today. Guess we will never know ourselves.

I wanted to get a perspective picture from zero's point of view, since he's so much closer to the ground. Just as I suspected, absolutely beautiful no matter how tall or tiny you are!

Something I find really interesting is how physical characteristics have been selected for in our dogs that help our dogs perform the tasks they were bred for.

As an example, Maya is a poodle.. poodles are some of the original hunting dogs. So when we see Maya with her head to the ground picking up on scents, her long droopy ears drag along the floor slightly, which kicks up and helps release sense that have been laid down.

Just an interesting little physiological trick that they have to help them complete the task that they were bred to do. (Other than the task of being cute and snuggly, which she also excels at)

Henry is all tuckered out after working on lease leash walking/reactivity (which we love to see, a tired dog is usually a well-behaved dog 😅)

He's also just such a handsome pup too! Good job on your walk and for being a sweetheart, Henry!

Do you know what Jaxx is trying to tell us with his body language?

If you guessed he is saying it's play time, you are right!

This is a textbook example of what we would call a play bow! When your dog does this, often accompanied with some excited wiggling or barking, they are essentially telling you that they would like to play!

If you really want to give your dog a treat, when they offer a play bow to you, you can also hunch over into a squatting position and move around a little bit yourself to let them know you are ready to play yourself!

I love Maya's fierce stare. In actuality, once she warms up to you, she's a total sweetheart! She is definitely a little spooked by certain things, but we have been practicing her reactivity on walks, and she seems to be gaining confidence a little more each time. Way to go Maya!

Sometimes people see larger breeds like this and think, "uh-oh"

Ironically, these are two of the sweetest dogs I've worked with. Jaxx and Henry just want to play or be close to the humans.

We are working on loose leash walking and reactivity, and they're doing quite well so far! Keep up the good work guys

Got word from a previous client that their adorable bully, "Porkchop" has been doing great with their reactivity and isn't hassling the other dogs in the house anymore.

I always love to hear back from previous clients and get to see the long term success and results from my training programs!

Plus, he's owning that Porkchop name for sure... Just look at him ham it up! 😜

Gino! Gino is a feisty pup, lots of energy and lots of love to give! Gino was working on reactivity, and obedience, and really rocked the training (I'm looking at you here, owners! 😉 Holla back! Hahaha)

A good training session, a long walk, puppy push-ups, or an adventure are all really great ways to bring your dogs mental and physical energy level down.

And the tired dog is a well-behaved dog (usually)!

Check out these 2 cute pups! This is Georgie and Cookie! I will tell you, they are so entertaining in person! They clearly like each other, but their behaviors are very different.

Cookie is working on building her confidence up a bit, and Georgie is working on toning it down ... Too bad they can't just share a little bit of those behaviors together.

But they are totally on the right path, and I know that they're going to excel!

Good job Georgie and Cookie!
