OWNER SURRENDER AND NEW INTAKE ANNOUNCEMENT
Aussie And Me is on an indefinite intake hold. We are overwhelmed with the number of dogs currently in our rescue and we will be focusing solely on placing them into loving, forever, adoptive homes. Please reconsider keeping your pets and finding a solution to have them remain in their home.

A beautiful day for adoptions! Congratulations to Blizzard, Heaven, and Wonton for putting their best paws forward and being chosen by their new families. Blizzard has been in rescue for 15 months, Heaven 6 months, and Wonton 4 months. So glad they have their new lives ahead of them now.

Off to a great start this week which means off to the vet! Rosie is broken and Cinco will be on the mend.

Cannot confirm what Rosie did (I have 2 scenarios) but she came in the house rear leg up and crying. Yep, her leg is without a doubt broken. I have her on pain meds and anti inflammatory meds until the vet appointment. Cinco's ears cytology came back with a bunch of stuff that he's been dealing with for most of his life. A special compound has been made for 3 months of treatment. I've seen an improvement over the last month and a much happier Cinco so I can't wait until he is bacteria and fungal free.

Of course this isn't cheap. If I could please ask for donations for this round of treatments, we are going to need it. Thank you in advance for being our village.

SURPRISE! We welcome a new baby to Country Dawgs Sanctuary. She was a complete unexpected surprise from rescue Mrs. Daisy and Mr. Jack. Daisy is being a very overly protective and non cooperative mom and Jack is proudly watching from a distance at his beautiful work. Of course, Daisy waited until the coldest day to silently give birth. Baby and mom are doing fantastic and are healthy.

Hooligan got the all clear and his amputation has healed nicely. He does have the pelvis/hip and vertebrae issue we are monitoring and starting Adequan injections. He has gained weight and his mental state is also healing. So it's good news for Hooli! Now for the drive home with a sleepy boy.

At the vet with Hooligan getting his stitches out and with Cinco for his ongoing severe ear infections. He's having a sedated procedure with culture testing today with hopes we can finally get the answers we need to clear these ears after 7 long years of battling with them. His previous adopter struggled for years of many many treatments that never seemed to last long. Same for me. Cinco needs to find a solution and be pain free once and for all.

Cinco is a Country Dawgs Sanctuary pup as his adoptive mom (and one of my besties) passed away from cancer. If you would like to donate towards Cinco's treatment today, it would greatly appreciated.
