Cedar Trail Farm - About Us

Hi! We are a Christian family of 5 that loves enjoying God’s creation. Nate is a worship Pastor at Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. He is an animal-lover, hunter, and the inspiration & hard work behind our mini farm/homestead. Michele is a baker, stay-at-home - homeschooling momma, who grew up on a farm with multiple agricultural animals, including goats, and helped with the whelping of multiple litters of Labrador Retrievers. We incorporate our children into everything we do - our ministries at our church, our chores on the farm, etc.

We love goats - Nigerian Dwarf are our favorites. And are planning to expand our goating adventures through responsible breeding. We’re planning to have some goat milk products to offer in the future! Our does are ADGA registered and both had their first kidding in August 2019. They were bred with our buck River Dance (RD) who is ADGA & NDGA registered whom we no longer own.

We love dogs - Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers are our favorites. We have an AKC registered female named Lily. She bred with our male, Charley this year(2019) and whelped her first litter - 1 puppy! Lily has since had a litter of 7 beautiful wheaten terriers(2020) and we plan to breed Lily once more in the future.

We love donkeys - specifically our riding donkey, Bubba! Bubba arrived in the fall/winter or 2019 and he’s been pulling on heart strings ever since - those eyes though!
