Who we are

Growing up one of my favorite things to do was make salsa with my dad. As I got older I learned more about where most of our food comes from and I was shocked at all of the unnatural practices used to grow and deliver our food to supermarkets. So I decided I wanted to give a shot at growing my own and started with a few pots of tomatoes and jalepenos for my salsa. I ordered some organic seeds online and picked up some organic soil from a local nursery. After some quick trial and error I had my first harvest and Wow! The difference in taste was remarkable. I fell in love right then and there and a deep passion for growing my own organic food from seed began.

Every year my passion and my vegetable gardens have grown more and more. Living in an average sized home with an average sized yard, my wife and I unfortunately do not have enough space to grow and provide all of our friends and family with full grown vegetables. So the micro greens idea was born. Being such a small yet powerfully packed nutritious crop, we are able to grow enough food to supply dozens, maybe hundreds of individuals, chefs, and marketplaces with a top quality superfood. Harvested only hours before delivery to your table or restaurant, the taste and freshness just cannot be beat.

Jd microfarm specializes in the cultivation and delivery of fresh, premium quality micro greens to local chefs and individuals using weekly subscriptions. We grow to order and all orders are harvested and packaged same day as delivery/pickups. Occasionally they will be processed the night before and refrigerated, but never exceeding 24 hours prior to delivery.

We strive to provide the freshest and highest quality product available, at a competitive price. All of our micro green seeds are sourced from well-established companies, True leaf market, Mumm’s sprouting seeds, and Johnny’s seeds. I embrace a healthy lifestyle for myself and my family, and at Jd micro farm were aiming to educate and share our product with as many people as possible for the hopes of a healthier happier world!
