🚨 DID YOU HEAR?! 📣

Starting on Tuesday, April 29th, we will be offering an online pharmacy service to provide more options for medication, prevention and food delivery!

Our pharmacy will carry a wide variety of parasite prevention, including brands that we do not typically carry in-clinic like Nexgard and Trifexis, as well as a fully stocked pharmacy for long term medications!

When you place an order, you will check out through the online portal, and your pet’s medications, parasite preventatives and/or prescription diets will be shipped directly to you to make refills easier!

All products will be price-matched with Chewy to maintain an affordable price, while ensuring your pet receives their medications regardless of your schedule or circumstances!

We look forward to sharing more information on Tuesday about how to place your orders!

‘Tis the season….for creepy crawlers! 🦟
Springtime has finally rolled around, so fleas and ticks are ready to spring into action!
Flea, tick and heartworm prevention is an incredibly important component of your pets health and preventative care.

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” - Benjamin Franklin
This quote is a perfect summary of why we urge flea, tick and heartworm prevention so heavily. It is far easier on you and your pet (& your bank account) to stop a problem before it develops as opposed to treating it down the road.

Did you know that exposure to a single tick carrying tick borne disease can put your pet at risk for Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, E. Canis, and more?! Some of these tick borne diseases can be zoonotic, meaning if a tick carrying Lyme disease bites you, you are at risk too!

Diseases and ailments related to flea, tick and heartworm exposure/infestations can lead to further complications, some of which can become chronic ailments, or even become fatal.

Even if you are not an established client with us, we are more than happy to see your pet with either a yearly exam or a “brief” exam to dispense prevention.

We want you and your pets to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather safely & worry free! ☀️

Call or email us at 423-283-8555 or [email protected] for more information or appointment scheduling!

Hello all!
As you may have heard, The Save This Life microchip company, which are the microchips that we have been using in our clinic, has closed very unexpectedly.

Due to this closure, the Save This Life database is no longer accessible. This means that if a pet were to get lost, the microchip will still scan and read a number, but the finder would be unable to reach the database to get your contact information.

We strongly encourage you to register your pet’s microchip with a new company. As a clinic, we will be working with BuddyID moving forward, and they are offering free lifetime registration (which would normally be $26.95 to register another company’s microchip) for any pet with a Save This Life microchip until the end of February (2/28/25).

Below are some other well-known microchip registries if you would prefer to use one of those companies instead. Many of them do have a fee for registering another company’s microchip, but it often includes services or benefits aside from keeping your information in the microchip registry.

- Home Again
- AKC Reunite
- 24PetWatch
- PetLink

Out of an overabundance of caution, we have also sent in all of the microchip numbers to a national microchip registration with the clinic’s contact information. This will not interfere with you registering the chip with your contact information but is intended to help bridge the gap between the closure of Save This Life and when you are able to re-register the microchip. If your pet were to get lost during this time, the finder would be able to reach out to the clinic, and then we would reach out to you.

If you have any questions, need assistance registering your pet’s microchip, or do not have your pet’s microchip number easily accessible, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Additionally, if you are unsure if your pet has a Save This Life microchip, or unsure if it has been registered with another company, you can come by either of our locations during regular business hours and we would be happy to check your pet’s microchip.

Thank you,
All Tails Vet

February is Pet Dental Month!
Dental disease is the most common ailment of pets in the U.S.A, spanning across all species and ages. Dental disease can cause serious health issues, or exacerbate pre-existing conditions. Your pet’s dental health is a crucial part of their overall health and wellness!

Routine dental cleanings are an essential part of preventative care. During these dental cleanings, radiographs (x-rays) will reveal teeth that have damaged roots, help determine dental defects, and locate the remaining root on broken teeth. Radiographs illuminate much more than the naked eye can interpret, so your pet’s current and future dental health are addressed appropriately! Our fabulous surgeon, Dr. Kayla, has provided some photos of before/after dental cleanings and some radiograph images that show how much of a tooth’s root is left in the mouth when a tooth is broken!

Please give us a call, text or email at 423-283-8555 or [email protected] to address your pet’s dental health and schedule a dental consultation!
