Took all of the Dals to the park today to work on some training and socialization for our newest, Shiloh. We knew that she was good with humans, but we had seen a tiny bit of sassiness when we first got her, and wanted to see if that was because of her being with new people & new dogs, or if that was a prior failure of proper socialization.
We had Shiloh on a 30ft leash for awhile just so we had some control and could keep her close while other dogs were around. By the end, we let her off because the amount of respect she showed other dogs were phenomenal. And her recall was almost perfect!

Btw, if you banish Hiccup to the back seat of the car during a car ride, he will do everything he can to get as close to you as possible. This was his solution when he realized that he was not allowed up front, but also still wanted to be apart of the conversation. But then he fell asleep. I have no idea how he was comfortable this way, but to each their own 🤣

Announcement!
We would like to welcome Shiloh to the family!
Shiloh was sort of a unexpected addition. She is actually Ember's sister- littermate. They are complete, full blooded sisters.
Shiloh was returned to her original breeder not once, but twice! Not to any fault of her own. We talked about whether or not we should take in another dog right now. After discussing it for a few weeks, we decided that we would go get her when we realized that there was a ticking clock with her current situation.
She is now permanently with us. Her and Hiccup are pure and utter CHAOS when playing together. She has definitely become close with Jonny. Might I dare say that she might be Jonny's "soul dog"?
She has had the Dalmatian energy, but also loves cuddles... More than Ember.
She will be the last dog that we add to the family for quite some time. This one was sort of unexpected. We are excited to welcome her! ❤️

PS- our favorite spot is the heart over her eye.

Dalmatians have A LOT of energy. These two enjoyed a new hiking trail yesterday and hiked a total of 6 miles. ♥️ They continued even when it was raining out. They got the zoomies multiple times and ended up wrestling in the mud. They may have needed a bath, but a muddy dog equals a happy dog.
