Clients often tell us their dog is “trained”—until they step outside the neighborhood or encounter another dog.

This is Brew, a 6-month-old long-haired Dalmatian who came all the way from Phoenix, Arizona! He just finished our 4-week Off-Leash Board and Train and is now in the testing phase — which means we’re taking him everywhere: malls, parks, airports, downtown streets, you name it.

Welcome Chapo to the Caliber K9 program. This 6-month-old mastiff is starting our 4-week off-leash board and train, and we’re looking forward to working with him.

With experience owning and training several mastiffs, I can’t stress enough how important early training is for this breed. Their naturally defensive instincts can develop into behavioral issues without proper structure and guidance from a young age.

We’ve seen it too many times to stay quiet. Dog after dog comes to us after being failed by another trainer—some labeled “untrainable,” some kicked out of group classes, and others returned home with no real progress, just frustration and confusion.
