I hate having to say goodbye to these two. Jessica and Sonja have helped bring me so much peace this year with their reliability, honesty, and authenticity.

First Sonja on the left: Sonja began riding a few years ago with me and took to horses like a natural. Her dedication to growth in horsemanship and her work ethic, landed her opportunities in my barn as a working student and assistant trainer. I don't have enough space to express my pride and appreciation for her. Watching her skills and capabilities grow has been one of the greatest joys in my recent years of horsemanship. She is leaving to go to college in Tuscon now and I know that she will excel in anything that she does. Thank you, Sonja.

Today the students made some "behavioral enrichment" for the horses in Horsemanship Class. We put edible items into a mould and added some tasty liquids that will be frozen. The horses will get some yummy frozen treats next time they finish their lesson to help them keep cool and happy. It's fun to spend time together and learn about horse care and handling.
