Meet Heather, one of our amazing Oncology Technicians here at UpstateVet!

Heather has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for 25 years, and we’ve been lucky to have her on our team for the past 5 years. She’s pictured here with Buddy, one of our brave chemo patients. 💛🐾

At home, Heather shares her life with her husband, teenage son, and a lively crew of 7 cats, 2 dogs, a bearded dragon, and an axolotl! 🐶🐱🦎🐟

Outside of work, Heather enjoys catching live music and traveling to new destinations. 🎶✈️

Heather’s compassion and commitment make a big difference every day. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team! 🩷

We are thrilled to introduce Aleina Griffin, our newest addition to the Paws-Up family and your dedicated dog trainer!

Meet Aleina:

"Hello, I'm Aleina! Dogs have been my lifelong passion, starting at the age of 12 when I delved into AKC obedience training and search and rescue with our family's German Shepherd. Currently, I share my home with two companions, Caspian (German Shepherd) and Calypso (Australian Shepherd), whom I engage in various sports and obedience trials.

My journey into dog psychology and behavior began through training my own dogs. While pursuing a path towards becoming a Veterinarian after high school, I discovered my true calling lay in dog training. After graduating from college, I welcomed Caspian into my life, a working line German Shepherd, who became the catalyst for turning my passion into a profession in 2021.

I am dedicated to helping every dog lead a balanced, fulfilled life by empowering their owners with effective communication skills.

I look forward to contributing to the Paws-Up family and creating positive experiences for both you and your furry friends! "

We're delighted to announce that Aleina will now be offering private one-on-one lessons tailored to your furry friend's needs. These lessons are available for individual purchase or in convenient 3 or 6 packs.

Take advantage of Aleina's expertise to address specific training goals or behavioral challenges your dog may be facing.

Additionally, we're thrilled to share that our group courses will be making a comeback in the new year, providing a fantastic opportunity for socialization and shared learning experiences.
