It’s a busy Sunday!

A little finish work this morning, started a major tine repair project, had an outdoor photo shoot, about to do some grocery shopping, then this afternoon I’ll do some cape prep, test fitting, all while watching football.

Congratulations Zack on a stud Pa archery buck! 🤘🏼🦌

Another one recently sent home with the Raber crew!

It brings me just as much, if not more, enjoyment working on a smaller buck for a youngster than a booner for a seasoned hunter.

Completing finish work on 4 deer today and then starting to piece together the next one 🦌 🚂

I’m excited to get this one back to my client!

This buck was harvested December of 2022 and sat idle in a taxidermists shop for nearly 2 years. It made its way to my shop in October of 2024 and now it’s ready to roll.

Congratulations Austin Gruskiewicz! 🦌

Congratulations Mr. Chad Skelton! It was a pleasure working on this beauty 🦌

I told myself a while back I was only posting one great photo of each critter I complete, but this hoss deserves all the angles! 📸 🦌

My client shot this buck November of 2023 and has patiently been waiting for it to be completed after bringing it to me last October.

This buck had a terrible infection in its left arm pit/ brisket area, resulting in lost hair. So to resolve the issue, I dressed it up with some habitat. Super happy with the way that turned out.

Congratulations Julianna on one heck of a buck!

Sent this beautiful Allegheny forest buck home this morning 😍 🦌Congratulations Chris!

It’s difficult to express how enjoyable the last week has been at the Crawford County Fair Pa.

I was given the opportunity to talk to a ton of amazing people the past 7 days. I talked to children, middle-aged folks, senior citizens, avid hunters, those who knew nothing about hunting, business owners, repeat clients, potential new clients, folks that live right down the road, folks that live hours away, veterans, taxidermists of 40 years, part-time taxidermists, an ambitious 15 year old taxidermist, and those who were simply intrigued by taxidermy.

I had to have given away over 150 business cards and pens. I received countless compliments on my work. I made some cool new friendships. I had family and friends visit and support me. I answered the question, “Why do the deer have bags shoved in their noses?”, too many times to count 😂

I got paid! And I sent several deer to their forever homes. (Congratulations Zach on the handsome buck and thank you for the fun photo op with your little ones.)

I suppose I’ll wrap this up with a big thank you to everyone who attended the fair and made their way through the Sportsmans building. The support and interest I witnessed for Cambridge Taxidermy and the other small businesses that shared the space with me was amazing!

A few early season bucks I mounted earlier this week at the fair. Congrats Gary and Josh! 🤘🏼🦌

Yesterday was a fun one!

Susan James stopped by the fair just before I started mounting her beautiful October archery buck. I got to BS with her and her husband about the process and show her what goes on before the skin is put on the manikin.

Here are just a few pics of the before.. and the after! 🦌

On to the next one this afternoon 🤘🏼

I’m a little late posting, but Cambridge Taxidermy will be set up throughout the week at the Crawford county fair in their Sportsman’s Building!

I’ll be there from around 1 pm each day until 8 pm.

Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday I’ll be mounting a few customer whitetail, so feel free to swing by and say hi! 🦌
