It’s difficult to express how enjoyable the last week has been at the Crawford County Fair Pa.
I was given the opportunity to talk to a ton of amazing people the past 7 days. I talked to children, middle-aged folks, senior citizens, avid hunters, those who knew nothing about hunting, business owners, repeat clients, potential new clients, folks that live right down the road, folks that live hours away, veterans, taxidermists of 40 years, part-time taxidermists, an ambitious 15 year old taxidermist, and those who were simply intrigued by taxidermy.
I had to have given away over 150 business cards and pens. I received countless compliments on my work. I made some cool new friendships. I had family and friends visit and support me. I answered the question, “Why do the deer have bags shoved in their noses?”, too many times to count 😂
I got paid! And I sent several deer to their forever homes. (Congratulations Zach on the handsome buck and thank you for the fun photo op with your little ones.)
I suppose I’ll wrap this up with a big thank you to everyone who attended the fair and made their way through the Sportsmans building. The support and interest I witnessed for Cambridge Taxidermy and the other small businesses that shared the space with me was amazing!
