INTRODUCING… ‘Astrid’ 🎉
After throwing around several girl names in our favorite movies, we never could decide on one because none of them really fit this special girl🤭 But then last week we were cuddling with her and Jonathan said ‘wait, could she be ‘Astrid’ From ‘How to Train Your Dragon’??? We sat on the idea for several days, mostly because it’s NOT a typical dog name- but then Esmeralda isn’t either😂 So we decided to go with it!! Our sweet Astrid is smart and loyal, ‘…Initially portrayed as tough and pragmatic, her experiences with Hiccup and Toothless lead to a more open, supportive, and empathetic demeanor, though she retains her strong will and a tendency to protect those she cares about. She is a driven, ambitious, and disciplined warrior who can be headstrong and possess a short temper when challenged, but is ultimately a good-hearted and reliable friend and partner…’

So this is our vibe. We had one month with no puppies, and wanted to do a little vacation for our anniversary! But that didn’t happen. So one Monday afternoon, Jonathan was milling wood and I said ‘hey baby, what if we get an air bnb tonight and just get away for one night’ ‘YES LET’S DO IT’ So I found the cutest little air BnB in Lindale, TX, and booked it! I was getting the doggies tucked away for the night, and we finally left at about 7pm… stopped on the way for a few groceries, got to the cabin at 9pm, stayed up till 4am, slept a little bit and then headed back home the next morning 😂🙈 BUT it was JUST what we needed. It was short, so we had to be intentional!! We talked the whole way there, continued talking in the hot tub once we got there, it was SO GOOD!!!! The sweetest little air BnB too. It was literally perfect🥹

Yesterday was bittersweet. But mostly sweet because my heart is so happy and I can’t wait to share pictures of Raspberry...

Yesterday was bittersweet. But mostly sweet because my heart is so happy and I can’t wait to share pictures of Raspberry in her new home- it’s perfect for her sweet old soul🥹 I gave my baby girl a bath and trimmed up her fur, and then she and I left at 3:30am to head to Memphis, where we would meet her new family who drove down from Ohio! She loved the drive, and wanted to get out at every stop and explore🤭 She was so cute. She’s been the sweetest doggie, has made so many families so happy with her pups, and now she’s officially retired and will be spoiled and loved for the rest of her life🥹 I miss her. I miss her grunties whenever she would find a toy or stick! Jonathan and I both had so much fun handing her little things and she was always so grateful and happy about it❤️ But my time is obviously limited with puppies. I had SO many applications for her, and had to sift through them all (all wonderful homes!!!!) but more so to find which I felt would be the best fit for Raspberry and her personality. More on that soon. But she’s very happy and very spoiled and adjusting so well🥹

Maverick + Crystal pupdate! ‘Oliver is 1 today ❤️❤️❤️I see his parents are expecting another litter. He has made our life bigger!! We are obsessed with him and could not love him more. He’s a BIG boy (70ish pounds) - loves to go on very long walks, swims AT LEAST 3 times a day (but dips in the pool every chance he gets), and is a cuddle bug. He still thinks he fits in everybody’s lap-and we love it. He is so loving, wicked smart, and social. He is best the boy. He is so spoiled and loved. Y’all are the best breeders and it shows in how acclimated and loving these dogs are from the beginning.’
