Training session: $40/hr (location of your choice)

30-Days Training: $650

Colt-Starting: $2,000 (90-day minimum)

I've gotten a lot of inquiries and interest in Abbott, which is absolutely amazing! He really deserves the love of a good home and he's been the best horse to train thus far.

Though I am committed to keeping him until spring of 2026, I highly encourage any and all potential Heart of Phoenix adopters to go through the application process to become an approved adopter so that if and when the time comes, you are able to pull the trigger on adopting Abbott or any other HOP horse. This application does not commit you to anything, it's merely to allow HOP to do their due diligence for selecting appropriate homes for these horses. The application process is quite involved and should not be left until the last minute.

Lois (Lane) is cute cute cute!! And she will be up FOR SALE (by owner) at the end of her 60 days at Camp CK! She's a little 4yo Quarab mare and she's very sweet. We're just getting started but her future looks bright. Follow along her training here!

Abbott did 🎉 AMAZING 🎉 on his first ride with a bit in his mouth! He was having so much fun today going down the trail. Man this horse can WALK! Dixie was trotting behind the whole way to keep up.

We are still focusing on everything at a walk. I have not yet started to ask for gait. At this point he's still only been ridden a handful of times. Once he builds up some more muscle we will begin the process of gait training.

While there are many equine disciplines, my interest and experience is trail riding and camping. There is nothing that enriches my soul more than being in nature with my horse. Whether we’re exploring new trails, experiencing breath-taking views, or tackling difficult terrain, there is always a sense of awe and accomplishment. Being an independent horseman or woman is empowering, and I want others to tap into this feeling!
