This is craniosacral work. Even though it may seem like the bones in the skull don’t move, they do. Craniosacral therapy helps to open tightness or “stuck” joints in the skull as well as restore spinal fluid flow from head to tail. I have found this to be a vital addition to my practice and a great compliment to the kinesiology work. One does not replace the other. If there is a cranial torsion, it can impact the whole horse. Head injuries, pull backs, improperly fitting bridles, halters, etc., and “training” that forces the horse into unnatural positions, can all contribute to a need for this work. It helps with head shyness, head shaking, balance, structural integrity of the whole body, anxiety, and more!
