M E E T D O B B Y! 🐈
This sweet boy has been battling a fungal infection called histoplasmosis, which is found in soil. Unfortunately, his body didn’t tolerate the antifungal medication well and he lost his appetite which is a serious concern in cats, since not eating can lead to liver disease.

To help Dobby get the nutrition he needs, our team placed a feeding tube that bypasses his mouth, allowing him to receive the right amount of calories each day through gentle syringe feedings.

He’ll keep the tube for about four weeks until he’s feeling better and eating on his own again. We’re so proud of this brave boy and can’t wait to see him back to his happy, healthy self soon! 💪🐾

Meet one of our coolest patients, a 25-year-old sulcata tortoise! 🐢🤩

Sulcata tortoises are among the largest species of tortoise in the world and can live over 70 years of age. So this incredible friend is still young in his life journey!

Routine check-ups help ensure these gentle giants stay healthy and active for many years to come.

Fun fact: Sulcatas are native to Africa and thrive in warm, dry environments, which makes living in Texas a pretty good fit for them!
