Welcome our newest addition, Yoshi!!!

Excited for his growth with Makayla, and excited for our team to get the opportunity to learn from him!

Lessons horses are a gem!! They are the ones we look back on as adults and enjoy smiles and memories of the lessons they taught us and tolerated so we could grow and learn.

They hold so many stories, photos and memories for children as they grow.

Don't downplay the lesson horse. It got you where you are today!

- has been show in draw format showing (both western horsemanship and IEA dressage at novice level)
- has been show Intro thru Basic western dressage
- desensitized on trail obstacles
- trail rides independently
- trailers alone and well
- ties, cross ties, stands for farrier
- has been barefoot only: great feet
- shown Green Horse at Southeast Ranch Series and placed top 10
- recently shown at Intro to Ranch series in Youth division with a rider who had never shown the horse prior and had high placements

Way to go Off the track arabians!!!

From racing to endurance stardom! We're incredibly proud of the impact that a foundation in racing and racing breeding lines had on this year's Tevis Cup 100 Mile One Day Ride - Western States Trail Foundation, and of how the racing connections celebrated the successes of the horses they bred. The first two finishers and three of the top five either raced or had sire and dam that both raced. Two more in the top ten had racing experience before their endurance careers. It's the third year in a row that a has captured Tevis, with Supersonic Zell joining Ozarks Kaolena SWA and Treasured Moments. It was Heather Reynolds' fourth Tevis, with two previous coming on former racehorses Cayucos and French Open.

1st. Supersonic Zell (S W Zell x Just N Tyme) and Heather Reynolds - Sire won stakes in Delaware and Colorado, and dam raced in California. Bred by Bryan Braithwaite.

2nd. Treasured Moments (DA Adios x Hidden Treasure) and Jeremy Reynolds - From 7 starts and 1 victory at Delaware Park to becoming one of the greatest Endurance horses. Bred by Cre Run Farm.

4th. WMA Miss Krossfire (Krossfire CS x WMA Burning Fire) and Karen Donley - Sire was a stakes winner in Texas, and dam raced in Texas. Bred by Welcome Arabians Horse Farm.

6th. Little Sammy SV (Sammy V x Zans Little Wing) and Nicole Wertz - 3 victories in 15 starts in Colorado and Texas. Bred by Sam Vasquez.

9th. A Real Diva (Dahess x Dreamm Diva) and John Perry - 1 victory in 9 starts in Delaware. Bred by Cre Run Farm.

🚨 INSTRUCTOR REALITY CHECK 🚨
Things They Don't Tell You About Teaching Riding:

🎓 "If you can ride, you can teach"
REALITY: Being a good rider ≠ being a good teacher. Pedagogy, psychology, and communication skills matter more than your last show ribbon.

📱 "Students will respect your time"
REALITY: You'll get calls at 10 PM asking about tomorrow's lesson and texts asking if "light rain" means lessons are cancelled.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 "Parents will appreciate your expertise"
REALITY: Dr. Google and YouTube make everyone an expert. You'll defend basic safety protocols to parents who "know better."

☀️ "Work outside in beautiful weather"
REALITY: You'll teach in 100°F heat, freezing rain, and hurricane-force winds.

💔 "Share your passion with others"
REALITY: You'll love seeing breakthroughs but watching students quit due to money, fear, or teenage drama will break your heart repeatedly.

🏠 "Great work-life balance"
REALITY: Weekends and holidays are your busiest times. Date nights happen on Mondays (if you're lucky).

BUT HERE'S THE TRUTH:
Despite all this, when a scared kid gets their first canter or an adult conquers their fear... when you see that spark in someone's eyes as they connect with their horse...

You remember why you chose this impossible, beautiful, crazy career.
The hard parts make the magic moments even more precious.
