Karly would like to share an important message. When she was spayed she was microchipped with a microchip made by a company called Save This Life which has since shutdown their database. The microchip is safe and functional but no longer links back to the pet owner’s information when scanned.

Please check your pets microchip numbers. If your pet was microchipped by On Point, we do not use this brand of microchip but know many of your pets were microchipped elsewhere so could still be affected.

How to know if your pet’s microchip is affected ⁉️If your pet’s microchip number starts with either 991 or 900164, then you have one of the Save This Life’s microchips.

We recommend taking action to ensure your pet's microchip information is accessible. If you do not re-register your pet’s microchip, there will be no way to retrieve your contact information should your pet become lost.

What You Need to Do:✔️✔️
re-register your pet’s microchip number as soon as possible at one of the following sites:

Free Registry Service at freepetchipregistry.com. This FREE registry is connected to the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool, ensuring your contact information is available when scanned.

HomeAgain (the scanner used in the photo) at 1-888-466-3242 or homeagain.com. Register Save This Life microchipped pets with HomeAgain for no charge when using code EnrollSTL.

Or register your pet's current microchip at one of the multiple participating companies listed at the AAHA Microchip Registry at https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/

🚨 URGENT: Asheville Humane Society needs our help! 🚨

The catastrophic damage from Hurricane Helene has overwhelmed the Asheville Humane Society, and countless animals are in desperate need of safety. We’re partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation to rescue as many pets as possible, but we can’t do it without your help!

We need emergency fosters to help us take in these animals! If you’ve never fostered before, that’s okay! Fostering is completely free—Forsyth Humane Society will provide you with all of the supplies you might need to help care for one of these animals. Every foster home we can secure is another life we can save! 🐾❤️
